Saw this yesterday on Eurosport, apparantley the French kids got really upset because they thought he was taking the pee. Which of course he wasn't :hmph:

I used to do something like that long ago. I'd set up like I was taking a left-footed shot and have a run-up that was almost straight on. Then run across the ball to take it with my right foot and the goalie would usually already be diving, so I could put it in either corner.

I can never find a clip of this penalty but there was a game in Spain in the late 90's the player who missed was playing for Alaves, and I kid you not he pretty much almost hit the corner flag with it.
