On shads player Tinga there are 2 of them. One is a RM rating 74 and the other is 76 CM.
Shads got him down as a 74 CM and i dont know which one it is.

Southampton Complete Squad
Southampton have tonight signed defensive midfielder J Gol on an initial one year deal. Gol has not been involved in the FWL prior to signing for the Saints, but is thought to be excited about the prospect of joining up with such an ambitious manager. Southampton have also announced there will be no more signings.

LOL. I did not know the position, anyway there are alot of players on there that are saved as GK but are an outfield player. It's up to the managers to change the details of the players.

Last msn draft we did we could change the positions ourselves once they have been added.

You can change positions but name rating and position are needed for searching, age height etc aren't. We are supposed to put positions in I think (that's what Omen told me anyway)

Carl, as a clue for the photo uploading fail, on my screen the 3 "buttons" are sorta greyed out, you can see the colours through a haze rather than bold. I select upload but it doesn't do anything, hope this helps.

Poznan looking to invest
The Poznan board have pledged 100k for investment into the infrastructure of the club. The board are meeting tomorrow to finalise if investment will be in a youth academy or the hiring of a negotiator to protect current players contracts. The board are awaiting clarification of the benefits of BOTH investments. This all comes on the back of the late late suprise signing of Carlos Tevez from under the noses of other FWL managers. Poznan manager Panzer said "this was a very late decision by the board to go for Carlos, I had fellow Argentinian Montenegro lined up for a return to Poznan but when we flew to Argentina to finalise the deal we were lucky enough to bump into Carlos' agent who told us Carlos was available. We arranged a quick meeting with him & luckily enough he was eager to come to us & agreed terms right away. This is a big signing for Poznan & a statement of intent that we want to compete with the "bigger" boys & are looking to get out of this division this season"

Great games with Nathan, Darren, Pimmy, and Carnage, think there were a couple of others tonight, well played every one all very close games, mostly decided by people fouling Calvin Andrew and then Lopez scoring the free-kick/penalty that followed!

After a few friendlies, I'm really starting to get used to my players and think I'm gonna be challenging at the top of league 1 next season! Although apart from Eto'o my team seems incredibly slow.
Had a great close game with Bullet where he just clinched it and then had a solid (if a bit lucky) win over Pimmy - premiership opposition!
I'll be on again in 20 for one more if anyone thinks they can handle the beast that is Rob Friend!

His forwards and mid are to much for my lot to handle, dont matter how many i scored he scored more! Think we had a 5-3 and some other high scoring game i cant remember even tho it was 5 mins ago!

Just a few things to take note of (I'm not that fussed tbh)
Many people don't appreciate running from kick off, tapping the ball around the keeper in a 2v1, standing in front of the defender at goal kicks, etc.
It's nothing massive, and common in normal games, but a lot of people play FWL to get away from that.
Good game, you're a decent player :)
EDIT - This could be a very fun League :p

Beat Hypje 4-1 which was probably a flattering scoreline. My team at the moment allows me to switch between short passing and hoofball, and I can shoot from distance, cross or slide balls through equally well (Largely due to Schweinsteiger)
Alex 82 was a wonderful find. He is my best player, he's fast, has great free kicks, great shots and long shots and can run forever.
Hypje will be deadly this year, Henry, Ibra and Van Persie up front!

When you take a kickoff, you're supposed to pass it once more than is necessary, instead of sprinting with Eto'o
If you've got two strikers on the break against your keeper and you square the ball around the keeper and slide it into a now empty net.
As I said, it's minor and doesn't bother me much, but it's just the politest thing to do.

Peterborough Ready
After some good interesting games the Peterborough starting 11 has now been confirmed. Some extra strength at the back been brought in with the beast Geohaghon expecting to just be a bench warmer, but the big man has fitted straight in alongside Yobo. Andrew Driver appears to be the biggest name to be left out (What a waste of 40k Pimm was heard muttering), after being released and then resigned Driver has started every game so far but has failed to impress and now finds himself fighting for a place with the pacey Owusu-Abeyie and Guerron. Shelton and Jerome appear to have formed a good partnership upfront with the interchanging of Agbonlohor to the wing it makes the side feel a bit more balanced.

It's looking like my nightly baby routine will allow me to be on most nights between about 8.30 - 10.00

Nathan I reckon you and Seaside will get promoted, defiinitely mid-lower Championship standard.
Probably true. Hopefully, no new people will join next year so we can enjoy league one properly.
Also, what do people think about setting up a FWL Gamertag with everyone on it? That way we can quickly find others if we want a game.
My FL is full at the moment, so can't add any of the newbies (or some of the other more recent players).

Someone just needs to set up an account on Xbox.com and add all the players here. When you're online, you select that Gamertag and the 'View Friends' option and it shows who's online and up for a game.

Just a few things to take note of (I'm not that fussed tbh)
Many people don't appreciate running from kick off, tapping the ball around the keeper in a 2v1, standing in front of the defender at goal kicks, etc.
It's nothing massive, and common in normal games, but a lot of people play FWL to get away from that.
Good game, you're a decent player :)
EDIT - This could be a very fun League :p
To clarify on the above points none of which are technically illegal under FWL rules but:
Running from kick off is frowned upon & not something players should be looking to do.
2 v 1 (keeper) as annoying as this is it is perfectly acceptable
Marking down keeper kicks etc, as PM said FIFA11 tends to do this anyway so everyone should be aware of it, if it is blatently obvious the keeper has kicked in error (cut scene, pause in game etc) a sporting decision should be made by the other side, however this isn't compulsory. So all be aware of this when playing out from the keeper.
If someone is doing all 3 regularly they need to re-think the reasons why they joined the league.

Yes that's fine. You wouldn't have had any punishment though - it would just have meant you would have fallen into debt. As long as you had a plan to exit it by next season, then there isn't a problem.

Suggestion: Anyone going in to debt for the season would automatically have that debt paid off the following season by deducting it from revenue for the new season. This would work up until the debt was greater than any potential income for the coming year.
EG. A club in Season XIV has a debt of 100k
Season XV revenue 600k - 100k debt = 500k income for that season.
We could also introduce "interest" say 10% for any debts this way.

Mine is quite a humble squad to be fair. Apart from the 2 strikers who are 80 rated the rest are in the 60's or low 70's so I could have a 20 man squad, so I had plenty of back up. I just felt like my defence was a bit light. It is a 3 star team right now, so I suppose it could be worse.

Edit: Just saw on the draft you've only got 11 players, you are really are in trouble when it comes to suspensions..

Remember to record the match details, goalscorers, cards & player ratings as you need to put these in on the FWL site.
Also any suspensions take effect for the immediate fixture below the game the card was received, not necessarily the next game you play :p

As long as the people appointed agree... I would like to announce the new administrator positions:
FWL Creator and Competition Organiser: The Omen
I will focus on code for the website, improving the game and fixing bugs. I will also be the main competition organiser and it will be my job to set up fixtures and tournaments. I'll obviously also watch over all FWL events.
Chief Administrator: Panzer
Panzer will deal with any fair play issues and disagreements between players. He will keep an eye on deadlines, make sure people aren't going too mad on finances and keep an eye on teams going over their deadline. It will also be Panzer's job to keep the FWL rules up to date.
Data Administrators: Fozzie and Scotty
They will watch over data, adding new players and checking that ratings are correct.

Website already does everything automatically.
The first time you protect a player it costs 15k, 2nd time 40k, third time 100k.

It's getting increasingly clear to me how much of an impact fatigue has and how the teams with good subs do have a slight advantage (or more of an advantage than they would've had in fifa 10). I keep letting in goals at the end of the match!
Good match against Fozzie where it was even right up until about the 85th minute when I leaked the first of two silly goals to lose 4 -2.
Against Bullet I lost 6 - 2 first match!! But I did have a defender sent off and even so I do not think the match warranted that score - and Bullet should've had his keeper sent off! Then second match was much better as I took a 2 - 0 lead, only for Bullet to come back for a 2 - 2 draw.
When can we start playing for real?

Speaking live to Sky Sports News earlier today "To have 6 away fixyures to open the campaign is huge dissapointment. We were looking to get some points on the board early doors to start our debut season in the FWL and this has been made all the more tougher by the blasted computer";)

I can't work out the maths to draw home and then away. At the moment the first half of the fixtures will look as you see them, but will then be reversed for the second half.
So in simple terms, if you have all away games now, you will be at home every game in the 2nd half of the season.

WEBSITE UPDATE
The code to make bids and accept bids is complete... I think.
Remember, you can make a bid but the team that receives the offer has to wait 24 hours from when the bid is made before they can accept. The receiving team can also only accept the highest bid made - lower bids are automatically rejected.
It is pretty complex though and I haven't tested it lots, so I hope it works. When the transfer window opens (when the draft and free transfer window closes) feel free to test it out.
IF it does go wrong, you will have to wait for my return from Kenya before I will have time to sort it.

IMPORTANT NOTICE PLEASE READ
I'm off tomorrow guys until the 31st October.
My squad isn't complete - I will complete it on my return before playing any games.
From now until my return no players can be released. Normally there would never be a time when you can't release players, but because there is a delay in confirming teams (me basically) I can't deduct squad wages from finances until everyone has their final squad. Any team who uses a player in an official match and then releases him will face a nasty fine... :grrr: ;)
Draft window is now closed, but free transfers can still be signed for the time being. Panzer will decide when this period ends. Thinking about it, nobody can bid or sign players until wage deductions have been completed so that feature will have to wait - so ignore my post above.

IMPORTANT NOTICE PLEASE READ
I'm off tomorrow guys until the 31st October.
My squad isn't complete - I will complete it on my return before playing any games.
From now until my return no players can be released. Normally there would never be a time when you can't release players, but because there is a delay in confirming teams (me basically) I can't deduct squad wages from finances until everyone has their final squad. Any team who uses a player in an official match and then releases him will face a nasty fine... :grrr: ;)
Draft window is now closed, but free transfers can still be signed for the time being. Panzer will decide when this period ends. Thinking about it, nobody can bid or sign players until wage deductions have been completed so that feature will have to wait - so ignore my post above.

On another note, sorry if anyone tried to play a friendly against me last night, I got into a couple of Pro Club games with a few Palace mates and we didn't finish til about 12:30am.....lol
Try and get a couple of friendlies in tonight if I can.

Right lads, 6 teams still need to finalise their squads before they can play any matches. Obviously with Carl & Shad both away they won't be complete until they get back but a deadline will be set to get your teams sorted, hopefully Neil with have his Xbox back today so I will keep the release & sign window open for the time being but it won't be open for long.
The following teams need to make use of this time:
Arsenal - Only 15 players
Celtic - Withdrawn from FWL
Chelsea - Shad back around the 30th, 11 players so far.
Persija - Carl back later this month 9 players so far.
Reading - Only 15 players.
St.Pauli - Oh dear! PALLET sort it out mate, 1 player + 4 from last season no longer in game, you need to release these & add the ones you've signed. If you need help message me & I'll go through it with/for you.
Toronto - 8 players
Obviously these teams can't play yet so NO LEAGUE or CUP games will count against these teams. If anyone has any problems etc let me know.

Although i've managed to sort out my squad, I can't play on anything on my xbox at the moment.
Hopefully will resolve it in the next week or so and be about for matches, will let everyone know when i'm available, until then, have fun without me!

Peterborough start off with win in France
Montpellier 0 - 2 Peterborough
After a mixed pre-season Peterborough started off the campaign with a win against title contenders Montpellier.
A tight first half saw Posh guilty of missing some chances whilst Montpellier always looked threating going forward. 0-0 at half time and the posh manager told his players to stay calm but required them to a bit more clinical in the key positions.
2nd half saw Peterborough come out strong and broke the deadlock early on when Jerome picked up the ball and curled the ball in fromaround 20yds.

The game was end to end from then on with Peterborough defending for their lives. The killer goal came late on when Agbonlohor got down the wing and crossed for Shelton to score his first goal for the club with a header from just outside 6 yard box.

A great game that the Posh manager admitted he didnt expect to win. Montpellier are still my joint favourites with Red Bulls to take the championship but hopefully we can challenge till the end Pimm was quoted as saying.
Great game Fozzie all the best with rest of games. (The pre season friendlies certainly helped :) )

Nobody should be releasing players now (apart from Pallet who has 4 no longer in game squad members) I will be looking at closing the current sign window shortly so get those squads sorted Kardan, Hazy & Pallet.
