Major decision to make now. Hypje did make the bids so Nathan had every right to accept them. But did Nathan mean to accept them and if he didn't should the transfers still stand?
Will be a pain to clear up from a database point of view...

I'm looking forward to defending against your slag goals! I kind of scored one myself, but it was at the end of a flowing passing moving which ended up with both Fuller and Johnson clean through, really I was just finishing the move with an extra pass!

URGENT!! Am I allowed to play De Jong and Mancienne even though I clicked accept when Hypje bidded and I meant to click reject. Hypje doesn't want the players and I think Omen said he would put them back on my team?? I'm about to play a match but I don't think I will if I can't play them yet..
EDIT: I'm going to play them anyway seeing as they are still my players. But I won't be able to enter everything onto the website yet.

Disconnection when I was 1-0 up, followed by an xbox crash. Strange :eek:

Absolutely stunned. A game with no real chances for either team until the 70th minute when Kuyt hit the post, was settled by a superb fluke.
Andy Johnson ran down the line before hitting a weaker foot cross that spiralled wildly before hitting the crossbar, and rebounding for Fuller from all of three yards in the 89th minute.
That looked to be that until deep into injury time, when kuyt found himself clean through, but no button could entice him to pass or shoot.
Vfl will be left stunned, wondering what damage this result has done to their promotion campaign!

Probably a fair result. Huntelaar headed Busan into the lead with an unmarked header from a corner. Melbourne's equaliser came in bizarre fashion when Jones finished from close range after the Busan defender tried to clear but it rebounded off his own player straight to Mr Jones who made no mistake.
Too many draws Melbourne!!

Vfl had done some good work on the training ground before this game, and it showed, hitting the post twice, scoring and missing narrowly on another occasion. A fine individual effort from Super Mario meant that Wolfsburg emerged comfortable winners. Wp Pallet.

St. Pauli 1 - 2 Scunthorpe Utd
Voronin 90...Benzema 22, 88
Benzema back to his scoring days after Scunthorpe scrape past a strong St Pauli in the 2nd Round of the FA Cup. 2 headers from the Frenchman was enough to sink the Germans tonight, as he struk early and late on to finish off the Germans. St Pauli were given a late glimmer of hope when Voronin made Scunny pay for slack defending and he caugh onto a loose pass and slide the ball under Steve Harper.
Good Game Pallet, very well played and unlucky.

Vfl Wolfsburg 3 - 1 CSKA Moskva
Two goals from Super Mario and a Dirk Kuyt curler were enough to see off as strong CSKA side. Eto'o scored in the last minute, but it was no consolation, as they were heavily beaten by their promotion rivals.
Gomez's first was a diving header, his second was a great low strike from outside the box, as you can see here:

CSKA missed a number of chances, as did Vfl, but they could not grab a goal before the 90th minute.
Kuyt killed the game, and helped Vfl Wolfsburg to an important win, which may decide whether they stay in League 1 this season, or get promoted.

Rumours were flying around the Poznan training camp today with some saying Tevez was off, others that Panzer would be out of a job & it was Panzer who scalded the squad for some very lack lustre displays this season. With tea cup throwing drama he layed into the team & it certainly fired them up. Someone was going to get the backlash of Panzers outburst as the players all gee'd themselves up for their next game & it was CSKA who facesd the wrath as Poznan's players to a man stepped up & fought tooth & nail for a result, could the impossible happen with the Polish strugglers facing the champions elect from Russia??

Yeah thats great, but I'm more in debt than I was before! I had 6,000 finances after I accidently sold the players. Should have got 40k taken off, to make -34k.

The youngster Welnicki shone in Russia tonight defending like a giant & putting the away side 1 up at half time with a towering header from an Afellay corner. The Russians came out all guns blazing in what was a truly spectacular match with both teams firing in shots at every opportunity. Bailey equalised for CSKA just 3mins after the break & both teams then traded blow for blow in a monumental struggle, fine defending keeping the score even, Tevez was guilty of a few misses hitting the post when through & placing a header just wide. CSKA missed a glorious chance but Narubin pulled off a great save from a headed, in the dying minutes Jelen recieved a pass from Brown out wide on the right & ran passed the defender before unselfishly pulling the ball back to Tevez who fired in past the keeper from 12yds to send the travelling away fans delirious. This result showed the potential of a rather disappionting Poznan side this season.
Great game Monster, true end to end stuff throughout, thoroughly enjoyed that... even if I'd lost it still would've been a great game. Good Luck with title chase

I didn't realise how tight it was! Wow! Just waiting for pallet to put the result through, and I'll have another 3 points.
Last game against Neil, which definitely decides whether I get promoted or not! Tense! I'm ahead on goal difference by quite a lot, so 3 points would definitely get me 1st or 2nd. Sadly, it'll probably be the most difficult game so far :(
I'm worrying about Neil now though; he only needs 10 points from 6 games to win the league, I think!

Wolfsburg v Melbourne is a massive match for the Krauts, need to build on the rivalry going on there! Inter look like they have an easier run in & should be looking for max points but Pallet always picks up a result or 2 each season so there's no guarantee. With lots of suspensions for matches against Melbourne could they be in the running for straight promotion too? CSKA look like they are getting nervous in true FWL style & if so it could be the first season ever that any newbies haven't got promoted from what is a difficult league to get out of! Great stuff & very exciting :lux: :lux:

Nathan what order did you play Inter & St.Pauli? If it was Inter first Soldado would've been suspended for the St.Pauli game! it shows on your stats you put in the details for Inter first then played Soldado against St.Pauli?? could be a 2 point deduction heading your way but if you played St.Pauli first you're ok as he will be suspended for Match 13 the game against me

Great stuff Panzer, was a really good game last night. End to end stuff with loads of chances, and fair play to you taking it in the last minute.
Seaside hammered me in our game and i was lucky to get the goal at the end, and my game against Nathan was ruined by lag and i was fortunate to get two late goals.
I think my CSKA team have got the jitters in the run in, can't seem to defend and can't seem to score. Got two massive games coming up now, after only picking up 2 wins from my last 7 games. It has turned out to be one helluva run-in now.:D

Chelsea football club issue the following statement regarding recent transfer Peter Crouch......
It is believed after newspaper report that Peter Crouch is unhappy after his move from Tottenham. Crouch has started just once since his move and believes he should feature in the starting 11 every time.
Chelsea football club would just like to clear this matter up. No single player in the Chelsea squad is a first team regular. Every player will fight for a starting place. Peter Crouch was advised of this before he signed his contract. Peter needs to prove himself in a Chelsea shirt before he is picked ahead of Neymar and Championship Top Scorer Nathan Delfouneso.

The Eagles were warmed up and waiting on the pitch when the referee told them that the Posh players were refusing to leave the dressing room.
Derek Millborrow claimed that Cameron Jerome had ordered in an industrial tub of Vaseline, and the whole team wanted to watch the Geordie boys lick a kangaroo ball.
Andy Carroll, Palace’s Geordie spokesman, has this to say “Fog on the Tyne is all mine, all mine.”
He later confirmed that the fog on the Tyne was indeed all his.

I went to play Nathan last night but quit after 4 mins at 0-0 because the connection was so bad, not a usual thing to do but if lag is really bad disconect before any goals are scored & it's ok, you can usually tell with either the bar thingy at the set up of game or during the opening sequence if players stutter during walk out/line up etc. Always send a msg & quit before any goals, if in doubt about lag do not play it if you don't feel right.

I don't think the player hub shows friends matches? Worth checking tho'. Can Pallet & Ardeo remember what time they played Nathan? If not I'll let Omen decide as it sorta effects me as Soldado would be suspended for the Poznan game

For Everyones Info:
There is a way, well sort of way, of checking recent yellow cards, if you have entered details of a game but the other team hasn't you can still see the likelyhood of a suspension by clicking on your individual players profile. It will show the last 5 match stats including bookings etc. As mentioned before if in doubt about any suspended player don't play him or indeed the match until you know for sure. It looks like Nathan did play Inter first meaning he is likely to have 2 points deducted

Wright hoping for his chance
David Wright is hoping to make his debut tonight in Melbourne's game with Olympiakos. Wright is the only member of Melbourne's 17-man squad to not start a game so far but admits that it is difficult to force his way into the team.
"Because the gaffer has a preference to a specific formation, it's hard to me to get in, but I have been assured that I will get my chance during this campaign."
Melbourne manager Neil Grace has a policy that all his squad play at least two games during the league season and backup keeper Lewis Price has impressed so much that he may even unseat Craig Gordon as the number one.

Carl is obviously very busy so in his absence I will set the deadline for the FA Cup 2nd Round matches for this Friday & hopefully the draw for the 1/4 finals can be done Saturday.
As we are nearing the end of the season with only a few league games left time to suggest things for Season XV. I think the free agent fee is to high would like to see something like a percentage value of the player rating, maybe something like 50% or season wages only?
Youth academy doesn't look value for money either as nearly everyone has a low rated U21 in their team maybe we could reverse the rule & have the highest rated U21 as the wage free player or 2 per academy star?
For next season ineligible players first offence a 30k fine then 2nd offence 2 point deduction, 3rd offence 2 points & fine? If a player is played when suspended then the penalty is imposed but the player still has the suspension for the following game until it is cleared legally?
Yellow & Red cards not cleared by suspension carried forward to the following seasons competitions?

If I do gain promotion, I'd like to cut back on my slag squad and get some lower rated players in. It's a fairness thing, and I might enjoy it more too!
I'd like to be able to do this, but if free agent fees stay how they are, I can't. I'd definitely like to see them changed to just paying their wages.

When a player recieves his 2nd yellow he is suspended for the game in numerical order immediately after his card ie. 2nd yellow in match 7 means a ban for match 8... if 8 has been played it would be the next game in sequence 9, 10, 11 etc or if all those have been played it would go to the previous outstanding matches in sequence 1, 2, 3, 4 etc
Fitures work like this
1 & 14
2 & 13
3 & 12
4 & 11
5 & 10
6 & 9
7 & 8
So everyones game 1 would be against Melbourne in our division except Melbourne obviously whose first game would be against team 2 (Poznan)
The same goes for all divisions with reduced numbers

Vfl Wolfsburg advance in the cup after a hattrick from Dirk Kuyt and a long-range strike from Schweinsteiger.
Dirk Kuyt scored first, a cutback to the edge of the box was deflected off a defender and into the air for Kuyt to head home through a crowded box.
Peter Crouch then broke through, and superbly chipped the rushing keeper to level the scores at 1-1.
Kuyt then scored again, only seconds afterwards, meeting a lobbed through ball from Schweinsteiger with a header past the keeper and into the bottom-right corner.
He completed his hattrick when Konchesky beat a player running down the line, dragged back on the goal line and played the ball to the edge of the box. Kuyt took a touch, and curled home his 3rd goal.
The game was already over in the 90th minute when Wolfsburg broke away, and Schweinsteiger shot from around 20 yards to plant the ball firmly into the top corner.
A good game for the German side, knocking out a very good Chelsea team.

Panzer's bollocking of Poznan has certainly had results as they turned Reading over at the Madjeski tonight. Reading got off to a flyer with D.Bent scoring within 2mins. Poznan where not phased tho' & steadily got back into the game & Jelen headed an equaliser after 16mins. All the good work was undone when Guthrie finished off a brilliant move and headed home half way through the first half, that looked like being the half time score until Jelen scored an absolute peach of a goal from 30 yds, as he came in from the right he saw the keeper advancing & fired off a shot from the outside of his boot to place the ball firmly into the net, H-T 2-2.
The 2nd half was a much tighter affair & neither side were able to add to the score although both had chances to win it. Extra time & it looked all over for the Poles as Bent added his 2nd for the night on 95mins, with the game drawing to a close Tevez ran through but his shot was blocked by the keeper fortunatly it bounced back to him & he made sure at the 2nd attempt to take the game to penalties. With Reading missing the first Poznan got the advantage when sub Storbaek fired home. Narubin then saved the next 2 as Tevez scored leaving Jelen the glory of taking the League 1 side through... 0-3 Poznan

You have 2 options really......
1. Keep the money and save for one of the available upgrades
2. Blow the lot on a players someone wishes to sell. make sure you work out the wages for next season tho. You can use your wage calcultor to do that for you.
Example: You buy Tinga off me for 20k. I've already payed his wages in full for this season so you pay no wages just the transfer fee of 20k. However next season you'll need to pay an additional 38k on top of your 534k you already pay for wages. bearing in mind that anything over 500k is doubled.
Nathan, was looking for you last night, but you weren't around. I can only get on from 8pm due to family commitments.
Really want to get my first round game done with him before I play and others, it's only fair.

Doing a player + Cash swap for one of your lower rated players for a higher rated players. Or put in 10k/20k/30k bids for players on other teams. Take a look at my team :p

With 2 at the club already, next season the number will increase to 7, before becoming 9 in Season XVI, and then finally reaching 11 players in Season XVII, and from that season on Lyon will be permitted just 5 players who have never played for Lyon, although manager BulletEagle relishes the challenge:
"I am looking forward to it. There are a lot of very good, talented players out there, and by having the 11-5 ratio by the end means I still can buy exceptional talent regardless of if the have played for Lyon if I want to."

Unsung hero may have earned promotion for Wolfsburg.
Vfl Wolfsburg 1 - 0 Melbourne Victory
In a game dominated by the German side, Podolski scored the vital goal that had been coming for 85 minutes. Vfl had 14 shots to MV's 4, 10 of which were on target compared to their 1. Hitting the woodwork was also frustratingly common.
The MV keeper had a superb game, to keep out two or three almost certain goals. MV almost scored a belter when a defensive mixup allowed Jones to volley sweetly from 12 yards, but the keeper caught it.
The MV keeper saved numerous 1v1's, and a few headers from merely 2/3 yards out. Well deserved the MoM award.
I always felt that we would score one and with tension building on the biggest 5 minutes of the season, Podolski nodded home a cross from his fellow kraut Schweinsteiger.
This surely cements a top two finish for the German side, barring a goalfest and two wins from other sides at the end of a thoroughly enjoyable season.

A entertaining game. Arsenal Played very well indeed and at times were unplayable when in attack. Ronaldo and Messi causing all sorts of problems for Chelsea. However the Blues survived a Gunners comeback after Nathan Delfouneso put the blues ahead on 49 minutes. It was even play up until 80 minutes when Ronaldo sent the Chelsea Right Back the wrong way to curl in the bottom corner to equalise. However, it was Chelsea new boy and substitute Peter Crouch that setup Delfouneso for his second and the winner on 84 minutes.
This now means Chelsea need to beat Toronto to win the Championship. Toronto have already beaten the blues this season in a thriller at Stamford Bridge 2-3........Chelsea will need to up their game again for this match.

Lyon Announce Plans
Olympique Lyonnais have announced a plan to in time become a club that is comprised of mainly current or former Lyon players.
With 2 at the club already, next season the number will increase to 7, before becoming 9 in Season XVI, and then finally reaching 11 players in Season XVII, and from that season on Lyon will be permitted just 5 players who have never played for Lyon, although manager BulletEagle relishes the challenge:

I was wondering about that. Perhaps the new free transfer fee is 1.5 times wages so, their wages plus half of their wages.
Personally I have never seen the point of free fees - transfers would still be cheaper if there wasn't a fee.

TBF Seaside your match report against me was quite biased! you may have had lots of play but 2 goals in the last 2mins saved you with me 3-2 up, if I'd closed the game out I could've won or at least got a draw ;) However I thought your match report against Neil was perfectly alright maybe Neil could pick up on the "dominated" bit & most of us would like an "unlucky" "opponents played well" etc if they were/did :p
The rose coloured glasses are getting a bit more :cool: tho.
It's gonna be very tight & likely to come down to goal difference but I reckon you'll grab a promotion spot, congrats mate :p

Chelsea Football Club to Invest Further In Summer
Chelsea Football Club have announced that they will be Investing further during the summer before next season in fast paced wingers. Two players have been identified for the Left and Right Flanks already and have been for trials at the Cobham Training ground.
This potentially means a clear out of at least two players at Stamford Bridge.
The blues boss added: We've had a problem this year with not being able to use the wings well enough mainly because we dont have the pace to beat opposition defenders. We'll be looking to put that right and make the most of players like Peter Crouch.

In reflection I think the Suspension rule should be scrapped, it is taking fun out of the game. It is overly complicated to control, relies on honest reporting and Oposition managers actually knowing what players are ineligable.
Too many rules & features, is making the FWL a pain to play, rather than enjoyable.

I am sure it was an accident - you are a very fair player, and are definitely in this more for the fun than for the winning, and I agree, I think there are a few too many rules.
The transfers are great, but they seem to be overshadowed by the insane FREE transfer fees at the moment. I also wouldn't be against scrapping the suspensions rule, or at least a part of it (maybe just reds not cumulative yellows), but I think the free transfer thing is something that needs sorting urgently, with an impending draft window and people needing to know how much frees will cost before the transfer window shuts.

In an interview with Peterborough manager John Pimm we got the following statements from him. Its been a great prem season for all the teams involved, 3 pts seperating top 3 shows how close it was. We had a steady season and need to improve defensively sloppy goals proving to cost us in the end. We are all happy with the squad so no major new signings planned but we will see what becomes available in the pre season window. Congratulations to Hypje and a well done to Fozzie on his runner up position. Hopefully rehab will work for the montpellier manager and he wont be retiring as earlier quoted after a night on the sauce. The FWL grows stronger and stronger and with the new teams being promoted to the prem and the other teams working there way up it will be an achievement to just stay playing in the premiership.

In this case Hazy I don't think you have any defence, you knew Kompany was suspended as we had that discussion when he played against Arsenal.
Whilst I completely disagree that we should scrap the suspension rules (dirty teams should not be allowed to escape some sort of punishment) I understand it can be hard to keep track of for some managers so we will have a review of the current penalties etc & maybe look at just having a financial penalty for the team overall, something like 30k fine when reaching 5 yellows, 50k when 8, 100k for 10 & a straight 10k per red card or individual fines on players? thoughts?

Persija Enter Play-Offs as Relegation Draws Closer

A close game saw Reading emerge victors with a 2-1 victory. A close fought first half ended 0-0 with the only chance of note falling to Showunmi who headed wide.
The second half was brought to life though when Downing crossed for Jenas, who was steaming in, to head home.
Persija were forced to change formation and bring on another striker, Charlie Austin, who scored with his first touch - knocking in a saved Keirrison shot to make it 1-1.
From then on the game opened up and both teams looked like grabbing a winner. It was a poor goal kick that was to decide it in the end. Lewis failing to hit the half way line where a Reading header fell straight at the feet of Downing who was in the clear. His shot beat the keeper but not the post, however Bent followed in well and tucked the ball into an open net.
Persija pushed for an equaliser and thought they had found it in the very last minute but Keirrison shot from a Kebe cross was brilliantly saved by Foster.

Disappointing season... and after such a bright start
"Not sure where it has all gone wrong really. We started so well taking 7 points from a possible 9, but since then have only collected 3 points from a possible 21 - terrible form.
It could all come down to the risk we took in having the lowest wages in the FWL. Over the course of the season the difference in quality has showed and we just haven't been able to compete. I'm slightly reluctant to, but I think we will have to spend more next season or we just won't be able to play at this level..
So in the play-offs it will be us vs our old enemy - Chelsea. We don't have high hopes, but we'll give it our best shot."
