Just wanted a few opinions on the following:

Jennifer Lopez- Is it just me or is she a terrible singer? At first I thought she was quite good but recently saw her concert on TV and have seen a few clips of her "re-mixed" album and she can only do one kind of tone in her voice! Its so annoying and whinging like! I can't stand her normal mixes let alone the terrible re-mixes, is anyone going to laugh at her with me?

Natalie Imbruglia- I like this gal! Not just because she is the very attractive ex Neighbours star (she was Beth!) but I liked her song Torn but her new song "Wrong Impression" I think is brilliant.

Nickleback- "This is how you remind me" what a song! Most air play in USA than any song EVER! Says it all really, its brilliant in my opinion.

Oasis- Their new song, I'm undecided. I can't decide whether I like it or not, some times I really like the new song but other times whats his name's (the lead singer) voice is so dull and Oasis have never actually sang a song, they talk them!

Thats it for now,

please give your opinions

Total rubbish. She also models her look on Daisy Duke from Dukes of Hazard

Natalie Imbruglia- I like this gal! Not just because she is the very attractive ex Neighbours star (she was Beth!) but I liked her song Torn but her new song "Wrong Impression" I think is brilliant.

Inoffensive but pretty, in a plaintive way.

Nickleback- "This is how you remind me" what a song! Most air play in USA than any song EVER! Says it all really, its brilliant in my opinion.

Total arse. 'Nu-metal': :veryangry

Oasis have more talent than all nu-metal bands put together. The trouble is the youth of today are too stupid to look beyond the American toot M.T.V. is throwing at them. If you want a true example of how a band should sound, buy yourself the new Bluetones singles compilation, released this week.

Agreed, she is great to look at and a good performer but can't sing.

Natalie Imbruglia- I like this gal! Not just because she is the very attractive ex Neighbours star (she was Beth!) but I liked her song Torn but her new song "Wrong Impression" I think is brilliant.

Also agreed, 'That Day' was a superb song and one of the hardest songs to sing I've heard for ages but she pulled it off.

Nickleback- "This is how you remind me" what a song! Most air play in USA than any song EVER! Says it all really, its brilliant in my opinion.

Can't really venture an opinion.

Never been a big Oasis fan but recently bought there live CD which is unbeatable, cigerettes and alcohol is an amazing song, not really sold on rock and roll star though.

Jennifer Lopez- i haven't really noticed...which says it all, really...

Natalie Imbruglia- identify is a very, very good song, and so is torn and that day. don't like the last single much though.

Nickleback- very boring

Oasis- i'm normally in a small minority here, but except for half the world away, i can't listen to them. their songs are so annyoing and dull, that i have to turn the radio off.

OASIS ROCK..........!

Jennifer Lopez - her songs are so mediocre that I never recognise them on the radio. Someone pointed one out to me once and I wasn't impressed.

Natalie Imbruglia - unoffensive pop music, she's very cute too.

Nickelback - Sincere guys and good songwriterrs but just like Staind: don't realise that they are ten years too late for grunge, and just like Staind they are NOTHING on Pearl Jam et al. Dadrock at best, and about as cutting edge as a wet fish.

Oasis - new single is ok. But will never be as good as they were round about 94/95.

I have all the Bluetones albums, so there's no point me getting the Singles album, unless the four new tracks are particularly outstanding. Are they?

Oh, and J-Lo is more "Rn'B" Amercian tripe, Natalie Imbruglia is a watered down Alanis Morisette (although her first album was reasonable), Nickleback bores me to tears (nu-metal? no metal, more like) and Oasis' new single is promising - I'm looking forward to the album.

My recommendation for new releases would be the new Gomez album - outstanding. :p

That Oasis song sounds like everything else they have ever released. Not really my cup of tea. It seems to me that the most successful bands/ performers grow with the times and change their style slightly to maintain popularity and success but Oasis seem unable or unwilling to do this.

I like Nickelback. They do get waaaaaay too much airplay, but it is good music. Ad there is a hidden meaning to all of their songs. In 'How you remind me', it is obviously about drinking, and in 'Leader of Men' its about dropping acid. Pretty interesting look at things from their Point of View I say.

It's been purchased for me in advance of my upcoming birthday, so I haven't listened to it yet. However, I have heard them do some of the four songs live, and they seem okay on one listening. The 'After Hours' single is a bit of a grower.

Ditto.

Have their other stuff - very good band. New album will be on my birthday list too!

You'd be surprised how many you'd recognise, I think. Still, I know what you mean...

A few years ago I hummed and hawed before buying the Shed 7 compilation, and when I took it home I remembered I'd forgotten a load of their stuff (if you follow me).

I actually found that with the Badly Drawn Boy album when I eventually got around to buying it.......
