Should that read lacerate or lactate ? Either way, it seems a bit harsh, just because she used to shout a lot !!

She sure does. She was sat 2 or 3 rows in front of me for the QPR game in block U of the Arthur Wait. She's still in fine voice as well.

A classic piece of Joyce was at Bolton a couple of years ago, which was Very Terribles last game in charge. She started shouting "Venables Out", then took a couple of seconds to catch her breath and again "Venables Out".

I think she now runs the away coaches ?

Good to hear the old girl's still going strong...

Is 'Joycie is our leader, Joycie is our leader, la la la la etc.' still sung at away games? I distinctly remember this being sung several times at away games after Joyce expressed her views in her own inimitable manner...

The Away coaches are run by Robbie. Joyce used to be a regular helper on the coaches, but unfortunately her health isn't what it was, and I think she just attends home matches now.

She got very upset once when I sat in "her" seat on the coach, in fact she asked me to move. She is much too fierce to argue with so I did.

i used to sit next to Joycee in the Arthur Wait about 8 years ago and became quite good friends with her and her husband. I must admit the hearing hasn't been the same since....

I saw her away @ QPR and also pompey last season. She still gets to as many games as she can, but they tend to be local(ish) games, I didn't see her at Blackburn though although I did have to sit with the home fans in the Darwen end. I did hear her on Monday, which is quite a feat as I sit 9 rows back in the upper tier of the holmesdale....

COME ON JOYCEEE KEEP IT GOING...

Joyce was at the Forest game. I have a season ticket in the Holmesdale but went in the AW for the game and became all nostalgic about it from the 80's. As i was humming "wise men say" i heard the unmistaken tones of Joycey booming out. Think she even scared Pollock. Perhaps we could persuade her to escort Trolley to a function in the near future in order to guarantee his safety.

I had been wondering if Joyce was still in attendance.
Hope she's still going strong - she is a part of the fabric of the place.

I wonder whether Neil's ever contemplated running 'Joyce - Her Story' in the fanzine ?

Apparently she does just the home games now.
I remember away to Oldham one year when I was sitting in the home end everyone was talking about her all around me as they could all hear her yelling!!

Palace News beat us to it a while back, Ash.

I used to stand in the Arfur (when it was a newish stand) just a few feet from Joyce. She was actually a very nice person (as long as you were not a player/ref/ass.ref/Manager/coach etc), back in the Mullery years, we yearned for her to be appointed manager!!

Even though, I think she knew some of the players, that would not stop her screaming abuse at them.

(sounds a lot like AS).
