Cheltenham 2011 Betting Masters [Archive]

I thought id get the thread started, Based on last years format from this thread

£300 bank to start with
1 x £30 bet on the Gold Cup
4 x £20 bets on
Supreme Novice's Hurdle, Tuesday
Champion Hurdle, Tuesday
Queen Mother Champion Chase, Wednesday
World Hurdle, Thursday
19 x £10 bets on any other race

No more than 2 bet per race
Competition to end after the Gold Cup
Bets can be split into e/w for half the stake
All prices must be taken and bookie named or else it's SP
Commission for exchanges taken at 4% of winnings
Non runner no bet so you can put up bets now
Bookings conceessions allowed
All bets on the final day must be done by first race otherwise bets just need to be done before the off

Yep as per the rules in the first post those kind of bets are allowed. Though any stake returned I think should just be settled as a £10 (or whatever the stake is) on your total not as another bet

BET365 doing an offer where if you win on a horse over 4/1 on a live C4 / BBC race or the day's featured race, you get a free bet for your same stake on the next race

Do we get that in this comp - i.e. does your stake in next race double?

Good point as specials are allowed, I guess so

Betfred (as well as Paddy Power) also refunding if Cue Card wins
Betfair boosting any profits on the same race by 25%

Good old Jennings - they have let me replace Binocular in my Lucky63 that I did a couple of weeks ago - I've put Hurricane Fly in instead.

My Irish friend in the bookies has told me that he's had the word from back home that Mullins expects both Hurricane Fly and Quevega to win. I think Hurricane Fly will start favourite now.

Unless you state what odds Ladbrokes are offering they'll be settled at the starting price, you're welcome to find the best prices now and put them up (Bet365 guarantee to be as good if not better than all the big bookies so you might as well just check with them)

Cheltenham are the best jumpers (and in the main races) racing off level weights over 4 days with one main race but lots and lots of quality outside of that

People at my work have no concept what Cheltenham is or if it's even on, whereas the country pretty much stops for the National. I love the National but Cheltenham is the best festival of the year for me by some way
