Two massive games over the next two days.

Would be great to go into our next two away games with a 7 point lead, and might even take some of the pressure off our boys.

All teams have something to play for, so anything could happen, but hoping it goes our way :p

Come on the hoops!

Form Guide: QPR have lost just once in their last 14 league games and are unbeaten at home since December 10. Sheffield have won two of their last three games – against Nottingham forest and Leeds – but have not won on the road since November 13 and have managed to get just one away point this year.

Mercenary?

You, sir, are clueless. SJ took the piss with contract offers for Wayne.

Wayne gave us great service, helped us get promoted, was a star in our PL season, and fulfilled his contract, whilst we also got a reasonable amount for him (£2m).

I really don't get the animosity towards him. Oh, so he threw his shirt down after a game once... how can anyone blame him after the dogs abuse he received during the game?

Like Watson and Moses and others, (large) elements got on his back, but boy wouldn't we like him in our side now. I remember his tears at The Valley, and, judging by his tweets, he still has great affection for Palace, despite the moronic treatment dished out to him by some.

Clueless? Get f*cked!! I had no qualms with Wayne Routledge in his time at Crystal Palace and in fact was a great admirer of his talent. I also had no problem with him leaving the club, although I believed it was a naive decision at that stage of his career and so it proved. The fact remains that he has played for NINE f*cking clubs and he is 26. If that isn't a mercenary, then I don't know what is, because if he is as good as you think he is, I can't see why he hasn't hung around at one of those clubs for longer.

It's that time of the year again. Here I am hanging on a game between QPR and the Blunts. Sad. Yet it is always so and given that it is Palace that matters, I will endure the disgrace of cheering a QPR goal (again). It matters that much. Not really wanting to wish anyone some serious injury, but if Derry and Hill could sort a couple of minor injuries to Sheff Utd players that keep them out until the end of the season, that would be delightful.
If Warnock could wind some of their players up and get them sent off, for punching him in the face (really hard), that would be great too.

They've picked up 13 in their last 8. More importantly, have won 3 on the bounce. This is a different side right now. Think they may have enough especially considering I don't see Donny picking up more than 6 points in their last 7.

They were good in the first half, created chances but didn't take them. Then they had one chance which should have been a goal right after the break. Then they died and were no threat at all really.

We'll get to the PL (Promised Land) by the taking the high road rather than through the Red Sea route. Mangled cliche speak aside, well don Routledge, I always liked you with your tricky little runs and dribbles but you lost it the day you threw your shirt on the hallowed Selhurst turf. We'll allow you count this as a small penance but next time you're back Lil' Wayne, remember the club that gave you the break.

2 things

1. God I wish Wayne Routledge was still with us. He was immense last night.

2. I think Dougie is a master of the pysc.. the physcol.. the head games. Quotes like him saying he thinks we can finish a couple of places higher etc. He's not looking down, he's looking up and hopefully this will rub off on the players. I'm certain our away form will pick up in the last few games. He's playing this very well.

Which makes it all the more galling that we couldn't beat them at our place the other week. Still, as you say they are right in it, only 2 points ahead of us, the run in from hell & I also read they lost Paul Green & Gareth Roberts to injury at the weekend, so that's 2 1st team choices out injured.

I think Dougie is absolutely right to look up the table rather than down. We've got to look after our own results, & if we do that I really believe we can overhaul some of Donny,Derby, Boro & Coventry. Now would be a properly tremendous time to conjure up that 2nd away win boys.
