It isn't the first time. (http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/42023-fergies-foul-mouthed-rant) He is an arrogant, pig-headed, graceless ****.

Posted that on the Ryan Giggs thread.
How ironic is it that the whole case is turning into one about freedom of the press, and he comes out and says this!

What a total pratt. One of the reasons why so many people hate Moan U. There are of course thousands more reasons that I won't go into now.

I think this is fine. I would want Dougie to do something similarly childish to "protect" a Palace player in a similar situation.

That's when I changed my opinion of him, too.

It's not difficult to disagree with the method, but Ferguson is doing the right thing here.

His job is to focus and prepare the side for Saturday, a side that will almost certainly feature Giggs in the starting XI.

He has a duty to protect his players, and keep personal issues away from the issue in hand. Ferguson, rightly, wants his final presser before the final to be about football, not tabloid gossip or a forum on privacy laws in the UK.

TBF journalists tend to ar#sholes themselves. Press conferences at UTD are just a room full of ar#eholes

Yeah but the way he goes about it is totally wrong. Man U shuold just issue a statement saying that under no cirmcumstances will AF answer questions on the Giggs issue in the CL press conference, so do not bother asking.

THis just shows him up as childish and petty minded

This. It's not as if journalists are honourable upstanding types and this guy knew what he was doing.

It was a friendly game for a leukaemia charity reliving an event he won which both saved and made his career.

Were you expecting him to call the ref a **** and punch a cancer victim?

Am I missing something here? Did the journo not just ask if Giggs was an important player or did he actually mention something to do with the scandal?

The question asked was whether Ryan Giggs would be important to the side on Saturday; the premise being that a distracted Giggs could be a big problem for Alex Ferguson.

While a manager has a duty to protect his players, he also has a responsibility to speak with members of the media. Part of the massive financial package that provides his club with so much income stipulates that managers have to speak with the media.

I also find it utterly pathetic that the BBC and the Premier League continue to pander to Ferguson and co. by accepting that he won't speak with them; their contract with the Premier League stipulates that the club's manager must speak with their reporter. Fining him won't make a difference.

By all means, refuse to answer a question; you don't have to respond - but to suggest that the individual should be banned for asking a harmless question about a player who is currently the focus of much media attention, it is a ridiculous example of how Ferguson controls what is written about him and his side.

I wouldnt, if a player is acting the twat he needs to be a man and own up, apoligize and move on, I for one dont want skulduggery behind closed doors at Palace.

I also wish the BBC would refuse to hear the Man U side of games unless the manager is interviewed, Phelelan is a poor excuse the BBC should just say Fergie or we dont give a shit about your take on the game
