Damned right it is but the cringing is all coming from your direction. Murray has been terrific for us so far i genuinely wouldn't swap Mackail-Smith for him. Brighton fans who saw his performance at the AMEX the other week must have been gutted you lost him for zip. CMS as i said is a good player but as i also said if you pay £3m for a player that is the minimum criteria surely? I wouldn't say Murray and Mackail-Smith are that far apart in the value stakes would you? And if they are it is certainly not anywhere near £3m!

Bit of a strange attitude coming from a supporter of a team who tried to tempt plastic fans with a poster campaign and failed.

Maybe with a few more plastics you could have got a bigger crowd than 5,000 against Wigan ?

Dwell in the past if you wish - it seems that Palace fans are forever stuck in the past or star gazing into the future. Academy , new stadium blah blah.

Both Brighton & Palace are in the same league and playing in similar sized stadiums. Palace attendances are below Brighton and the team below them in the league.

I don't remember Brighton having to put up posters around town to sell season tickets this year nor did they attract (!) only 5,000 for a cup match against premier opposition

All Clubs need to attract new fans but Palace cannot do it - ask yourself why ?

No exodus at 1-1 . When Murray scored people left in numbers which was really disappointing - I note Palace fans saying the same thing happened at Millwall when you lost 3-0.

If you went to the match you'll know how sh*t the ground is to get to. Why would fans who are not committed to Albion go through that hassle every week?

Hull,Coventry & Barnsley sold out already. Most of the new fans are lapsed Goldstoners who have returned. I bet you would welcome some of the crowd back you got in the seventies.

I went to the match and if you were there you would have seen a hell of a lot of empty seats in Brighton areas at 1-1, to be fair mate i dont need to lie 2,500 other Palace fans saw it as well! As for your point about the transport yes i agree it leaves ahell of a lot to be desired yet against Leeds and Liverpool by all accounts these same fans stayed until the end of the match, so why piss off when you are drawing a game against the team you are supposed to hate the most? The reason i stated these two games is because they were evening kick offs as well and i did notice an excuse offered up by a Brighton fan on here for the walkout was because of getting home early on a weeknight. Yet they weren't too concerned about that on those occassions

So let get this straight the guy has to resort to quoting our crowds in League Cup games to try and win the argument but then decides to leave 2,500 off the figure? The fact is give me 14,000 regulars who go to every league game whatever rather than 5,000 diehards and a stadium full of plastics who walk out on their team in the fashion that we witnessed a couple of Tuesdays back.

Had the roles been reversed, I'd imagine a fair few of your heroic supporters doing the same.

We lost 3-0 at Stoke last year, but kept singing to the final whistle and then got abuse from the Stokies for not sloping off to the bar/home......dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.

My mistake sorry - I should have quoted 5,488 against Middlesbrough in the NEXT round !

Obviously you don't have 14,000 non plastic regulars otherwise they would have been at the Cup game. It looks like you have about 6,000 die hards and the rest are plastics like Brighton.

You cannot apply an assumption upon other Clubs supporters and not apply it on your own.

What superior in league position or average home attendance this season ?

Please clarify.

Palace were the better team on the night for the last 70 minutes - but still the worst league team I have seen at Amex - which tells you everything you need to know about the Albion performance that evening.

What superior in league position or average home attendance this season ?

Please clarify.

Palace were the better team on the night for the last 70 minutes - but still the worst league team I have seen at Amex - which tells you everything you need to know about the Albion performance that evening.

Oooooh, hark at her!

I'll clarify for you.

That makes Albion the worst league team you have seen at the AMEX.

Seeing has you beat some of the other teams, and Palace won with goals to spare, I'd suggest you are talking bollox.

You may eventually be able to show your faces on this forum again as the 3-1 stinging slips into memory. You will never live down the hordes of fans leaving as soon as we made it 1-1. That was a shocker. A real shocker. I thought The Muppet Show had been retired years ago.

Getting home early???!!! The walk out was caused by us getting outplayed and beaten by our fiercest rivals.

You weren't getting beaten, you were drawing. You were at home. According to BHA supporters on here, you had all the best players, best fans and best stadium. This was just a season of inconvenience before the rightful place in the Premier would consolidate your rennaisance.

You weren't playing the Stokies. You were playing your fearcest rivals. At 1-1 hordes made for the exits. If they had stayed around and turned up the volume on that great song of yours, the outcome may have been different. It's called supporting your team.

What happened? Weren't enough songsheets printed, were the words not displayed on the screen, did the special jacketed singing coordinators screw up.

If we play next season, how about giving over half of one of those stands to
Palace fans who will want to stay and see 90 minutes of football. If you do that we will give you a 2 goal headstart this time. Give ourselves a tougher challenge.

Anymore of this, and we will have to place an advert in the paper for better rivals.

No mass walk out at 1-1 - you obviously didn't go.

And you are deluded.

Whilst my son was jumping up and down celebrating the equalising goal I drew his attention to the FACT that Brighton 'fans' were leaving in their droves from every part of the ground, he looked up to the West Stand Upper tier to look for his school friends who had sent him several '1 nil to the Albion' texts during the game, guess what, along with many others they and their parents had gone.

Not too fussed about Noone leaving. If Buckley and KLL are both fit he is third choice... 'If' is the big word here though.

All players who sign for a club receive a signing on fee. "Free transfers" are different because the only fee that needs to be paid is the signing on fee, rather than a transfer fee AND a signing on fee, like you would have paid for PMS.

So yes, Murray was a freebie as we didn't have to pay you a penny while we took your top scorer :)
