View Full Version : When Charlton come to Selhurst...

Every time they give it "we hate Palace" or whatever sh*te they sing, we should start off "the famous alan Mullery..", "one man went to war, went to war with Brighton", and any other anti-Seaweed songs.
Politey applaud their attempts at humour and piss yourself when Clint bags the winner in the 79th minute.

When I read that thread title, I thought it was going to be a new rendition of the famous "When Eric comes to Selhurst Park". I like it - I shall be fine tuning the lyrics over the coming weeks.

I note that 'John from Charton' can't even spell Charlton - but he may still be one of the brighter ones.

Everyone knows that the Palace 'Invented' the Balloon welcome and no one has ever come near us ... Leicester tried Sunday but failed.
So I say lets give the Palace boys a real welcome onto the pitch and let them know what this game means.
Hopefully it may inspire them to beat the clown fcuks.

I'll be coming from Abbeywood on the day we play the clowns.
I was going to drive to the ground but the police have already warned local motorists not to drive on that day .
Apparantly the convoy of caravans, horses, waltzers and 'rag'n bone ' trucks will be tailing back for miles towards Selhurst Park, and will make the journey impossible. All this so they can use out flushing toilets all afternoon !!!
The other thing has anyone told the Clowns that Connex South East dont have horse boxes
on the trains anymore .. GUTTED

Hmm, you would care to explain the logistics of linking hands <http://cpfc.org/ubb/shy.gif>http://cpfc.org/ubb/blue.gifnd</b> holding up our lighters at the same time?

Mart, come to see the Palace ?? You know full well its a case of come to laugh at the Palace.
Of course we will be bringing big numbers with us. There will be hundreds of families there expecting to see Disney characters after the recent Mickey Mouse club reports. God are they going to be in for a shock.
Amazed at the amount of energy you guys are putting in to running us and our areas down when your energy would be better spent elsewhere.
Your all right though, Historic Greenwich, Blackheath Village and rural Bexley Village don't hold a patch on Croydon, Asylum-seeking capital of the world.

Badger, bit rich giving it all this gypo stuff and you come from Abbey Wood ????
Should be a cracking day, with a big away following there should be a decent atmosphere at Selhurst for a change and you guys will be able to give plenty of verbal to your two ex players, Svensson and Mullins.
I can spell its my bloody fingers that have the problem .For the record I really come from Petts Wood but Charlton sounds a bit harder .

Is it a family day on the 25th. I heard a rumour that there would be a fairground over from Woolwich in the Sainsbury car park.
Oh b*gger, I live near the ground I will be pestered by the usual people selling pegs and lucky heather for weeks afterwards until South Norwood's finest transit them back to the estuary.

Big following? So you're going to bring more than your usual 2,000?? I hope you do but it'd be a first.
I doubt Svennson will get too much verbal- Mullins might though, if he hasn't banged a couple in your net by half-time.
Getting back to the point. How about if they bring more than a couple of thousand....

Ali L, must I be the one who breaks bad news to you ? We might have "shared" Sellout Park with you a number of years ago but you now share someone else's ground and are infact the second team there . http://cpfc.org/ubb/smokin.gif

UMMM... I think not. They squat there as you did...or weren't you a supporter then...?
Also, you clowns do seem to spend alot of time trawling through this BBS. Posting how much you are loving our situation (oh the bitterness..)then claim we do actually hate you because we say we don't. Then hang around trawling some more. The phrase 'sad ****ers should spend some time on their own boards' springs to mind.
Perhaps Wimbledon can be your rivals when you go up. Then you can argue who squatted the best.

The Charlton Boys are correct.
Remember the ground isn't yours any more it's Ron's.
You only rent it for him, like us.
You are No.3 in South London & it's going to stay that way for along time, until Millwall overtake you.

iT'S OUR GROUND AS WE HAVE A LEASE ON IT FOR 100 YEARS SO NOADES CAN'T TAKE US OUT OF THERE AND AS FOR US BEING THE THIRD BEST TEAM IN SOUTH LONDON THAT'S WRONG WE'VE ACHIEVED MORE THAN YOU EVER WILL.1 LUCKY PLAYOFF WIN AND U THINK YOUR GREAT.HMMMMMMMM

Wimbledon, another bitter set of fans.
Palace havn't owned the ground for years- but we still own (if I am correct) the 100
year lease. Ron transferred the ground to a company called Altonwood, of which he has
a 50%odd stake.
Wimbledon never contributed to the development the ground hence your limited use of
'your home end.' Which is the stand a certain amount of Palace fans contributed towards. You
lot even had the cheek to complain about the colours and the lettering on the stand.
Seems highly irregular that you spend (waste) £7m on a striker but won't build your own
ground.
Apart from the good deal you've got at Selhurst (and the 4-0 thrashing in the rain), theres nothing else that I begrudge
Wimbledon for. Keep flying the flag for the smaller clubs.
On second thoughts, this is a bit too civilised for the away fans forum. You're all ******S!

Isn't 100 years academic as Palace will be out of business in about 3 weeks? :-)
Wimbledon, another lot of muppits like Charlton with no rivals. So like Charlton they try and start something with us.
But hang on a minute! You have never payed your way whilst at Selhurst and due to Noades and Sam Hamman's stich-up benifited completly from your vertually rent free stay in SE25. Just ask yourselves if without Noades and CP would you be where you are now? I think it's very unlikely. So you've got nothing to slag us for, the only reason I can think of is that your massive 6,000 fans(and that's for the big matches!) who turn up in the premiership are just looking for rivals and Palace like with Clownton are clearly not interested, maybe try hating Kingstonians or something or are they to big?

OK, lets just be honest for a minute.
Charlton = Scum
Brighton = Scum
Wimbledon = no fan Scum
I have to admit I do hate Charlton. The Brighton hate was a bit before my time, though I was always reminded of it working in Brigton town centre. Wimbledon....what do ya say....a premiership team with 28 supporters. Not bad.
The Charlton game is going to be massive. The last time we might play the Clowntown scum....as they get found out for being East end wannabies when they all come from lovely Dartford, so the FA chuck them out the League.
