He was a member of our Youth Academy for many years before being released a couple of seasons ago. Could be another Alan Devonshire.

I knew that, but I was wondering what he had done that was so good. Someone said he was the best technical player we had, but didn't make it because he wasn't strong enough.

Read the BBC account of Kilmarnock 4 Hibernian 1 ..... then you'll understand.

Had bags of ability but was so easily brushed off the ball when with us.

He was very very good in the youth games bit when it came to even preseason friendlies he struggled far more. Remember Crawley just taking him out of the game by being physical - not fouling, just physical.

Similar to Wilf in that the slightest knock sometimes sends him over, and cannot burst through players. Wilf has far more technical ability than James though.

What a really stupid/unneccesary comment.

Palace academy star, terrible injuries, released, went to the Glenn Hoddle academy, did well, had another bad injury, now doing well in Scotland.
The lad has bags of talent, loads of guts and unbelievably bad luck.
Let's be pleased for him. :lux:

League Cup Winners medal today, albeit as an unused sub. He's done well
