So says John Carew in tonight's Standard following the draw against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Apparently Captain Lardy told his West Ham team mates this after Saturday's game. Sorry to piss on this rather breathtaking arrogance but.......

I'm not a huge fan of Man United but do acknowledge that they have some talented skilful players and can play wonderful football and I have scored some goals this season which have been fabulous. The consequence of this is that they win most of their games even when having an off day.

West Ham on the other hand..............Well I don't think I've seen such a collection of knuckle draggers at SP in years. Even Freddie Sears looked like he'd gorged on pies. If that is the Man Utd standard this league is in a whole heap of trouble.

West Ham's arrogance will be their undoing. Murray or Easter connecting would have meant a loss. I didn't see many other chances for West Ham other than those they converted. In this respect it is West Ham that need to raise their game and they certainly weren't superior.

So wake up West Ham. How can you be the Culture Club playing such a one dimensional brand of football based solely on bulk?

"I think that when teams meet us they tend to raise their game. It's something we have to cope with.

"Against Palace we were very superior in the game in general, so it was at bit frustrating but at the end of the day a point is a point."

CAREW YOU SHIT

A point is a point? You equalized with 10 minutes to go you ******* muppet. Hardly settling for a point is it?

Let's hope so. Now it's looking ever-increasingly unlikely Spurs will get the go ahead to move to the lolympic stadium and redevelop CP, I feel much more comfortable hoping for a spectacular west ham implosion.

When you have a manager in big Sam who plays aggressive football, certainly not the west ham way of old, he is going to get his team of lardies to kick their way out of the Championship.
I have always had this theory that the footballing world likes the so-called glamour clubs and refs turn a blind eye to the way they tackle, I did not go to the game last saturday, but listened to the comentary and though the comentators lean towards Palace, its the first time for a long time that they mentioned the fouling that went un punished

Like many people, before I started working in The City, I used to quite like West Ham, it's not until you spend over 20 years listening to the completely one dimensional views of West Ham fans that you grow to hate, and I mean really hate them. 20 years of being told how great this really very, very mediocre club does this to somebody.

The MexicanHorse's post above is said tongue in cheek, but there are people out there thatreally feel that WH did win the World Cup.

I have to declare that I didn't go, but it sounded to me like a game where both teams gave it all, and if anybody deserved to win it, it was us, a point each was prob fair. What a plum Carew is.

Echo having to work with them.

I will never forget the day I was at work, surrounded by West 'Arm and they signed Tevez and Mascherano. They honestly thought they would be qualify for CL football that season, seriously, it was cringe worthy.

"Against Palace we were very superior in the game in general"

That's the bit that really got me. We're all biased every now and again, sure, but the only way West Ham were "very superior" to us is if that equates to lumping the ball up the pitch.

Idiot.

Wow. What a load of rubbish from Carew. Allardyce has his work cut out to get that lot up. If they fail to get promoted then the future will look very bleak for them indeed. Even Gold and Sullivan will struggle to cope with the consequences of filling the Olympic Stadium in the Championship let alone the huge debts the Club still owe despite the DD's unwriting 50% of it.

they were better than us imho. But they won't be when we take them on at the Boleyn.

Totally idiotic comments lacking in class.

To be honest so they damn well should be better than us when you consider the players they have and the wage bill they pay each month compared to our team of kids, loanees and bargain buys. Fact is they may of dominated in spells but we took the 2 chances we got and were a little unlucky not to take all three points. Winning a football match is about scoring more goals than your opponents, not how much possession or how many corners you have.

Tattoo of the year

THE award goes to Norwegian striker John Carew. He endured the agony of having a tattoo put on his neck, the inscription, in French, meant to read: ‘My Life My Rules’. Alas, Christine Meklenborg, a French professor at the University of Oslo noted that a stray accent over the word ‘Regles’ meant his neck actually read: ‘My Life My Menstruation.‘

I'll laugh my socks off if they fail to go up this year. And if we beat them in the play off final again I'll actually go to their training ground and shit in Fat Sam's packed lunch!
