View Full Version : Just read 'Palace are back' about the BHF tournament
And Anti-Addick's delight in getting further than our goodselves. Surely you would agree what a gentlemenly thing it was for us to get ourselves knocked out of our own tournament. If we had won it, you all would of cried fix !!!!
You may of got further, but we still beat you twice on the day, as CAFC and CAFC reserves (Man City). It did seem strange though playing you and it not turning into a near riot.
Fair play to you though, you did excellent to get to the final.
I'm sure you'll get a few chances next season, but until then:
'You've never beat the Charlton' !!!!

What, not even next season ?
When after relegation, Alan Curbishley jumps ship to Wesh 'Am, leaving you in freefall, whilst Palace consolidate their Play-off loss the previous season and make a phoenix like return to Premiership under the guidance of Stevie Coppell and his luvverly young assistant Peter Taylor.
F*ck that's a long sentence.
(bet that's what you lot say when you get sent down for selling pegs without a license)
err, think you've got the wrong end of stick mate. I'm referring to crap internet football, in which we beat your lot 3 times (4 if Man C is included) this season. Christ if i included first team football, in which we only managed just the two wins this season, to the total, it would start to look a bit embarrassing for you lot. And i wouldn't want to do that, we're a fair bunch.
As for Anti feeling he isn't too popular with the Charlton boys, i don't know where he gets that impression from ????
Anti is about as popular as Paul Ince at Upton Park. Except Anti hasn't actually got any talent of course.
One more thing, fair play to whoever it was who brought the fit bird with them of Saturday. Must be a sister, because i can't imagine a sweet thing like that going out with any of you lot !!!!

If you have to gloat about your many victories over us just bear in mind that was your first ever win over us @ selhurst since before the second world war!! and next time try & bring a decent turnout over to Palace, bearing in mind that you always whine about our allocation to you (including threatening court action over the play-off allocation!!!) and even with you streets clear of that division you still could'nt bring more than 4,500 even though we gave you the whole stand, although what do you expect if your directors were'nt paying for you so as to guarantee a decent turn-out!!!
Sad glory-hunting tossers.
Every ticket we were allocated was sold for that game, so i don't know what you are getting at there.
And if you class anyone following a 1st div side as 'glory-hunters', gawd knows what you class Man U, Arse and Chelsea fans.

OK, CPIFC Spokesman here i come! (plus no other CPIFC member has noticed this thread yet!)
Charlton IFC v Reading IFC, 1-1 full time, Stupid OG, Penalties about to be started....and....
"*sob*cry* Get away from behind the goal, your putting us off" Like little kids, anyway, we went away from behind the goal, and you still f**ked up!
You dont see footballers moan at the crowd to move from their seats directly behind the goal because "they are putting them off"
Anyway, WE GOT FURTHER THAN YOU!
Thats all that matters!
(well, plus that we raised money for BHF, that matters as well)

So you sold all the tickets we allocated you did we? Well I was under the impression that Palace allocated you the WHOLE of the Arthur Wait so how can you explain the large gaps on both sides of the stand? and how come Man City bought more than you and bear in mind this is meant to be your biggest game!!!!!
Plus the reason I called your sad bunch of supporters glory-hunters, is that you have never brought a decent turn-out over to Palace, apart from this year when you were about 10 points clear & absolutely pissing the league!!!
Sad anorak glory-hunting train spotters one & all.

Errrr, I'm sorry lads but I can't agree with many of Le Wee Wee's comments in this forum.
Where shall i start....
First of all, before this season we had beaten palarse at selhurst since the war (1969/70 to be precise in the FA Cup) so you're wrong - you probably would've known that though if you weren't a part-timer.
Secondly, and I've still got my anorak on here, I'm sure the away attendance at selhurst this season for palarse v champions was much closer to 8,000 rather than the 4,500 you suggested, and this can only be called an unofficial figure cos hasn't there been some sort of swindling of attendance figures at palarse this season?!?! So, to get straight to the point, you're wrong again.
Thirdly, I was standing towards the homosdale end of the arthur waite and there were no gaps at our end cos the ticket allocations were sold in blocks starting from that end, and the next block was only made available once each had been sold out in turn. Unless of course the gaps you were talking about are those spaces between each stand, but I'm sure you'll find them there each week at palarse seeing as the only ground redevelopment you'll be doing in the near future is building a new roof if i'm not mistaken, when your proposed takeover eventually goes through (yawn, yawn, dragging on for ever).
And last of all there were plenty of empty seats in the home areas for that game, so maybe you should concentrate your efforts on bringing in more fans from gypsy hill and surrounding areas, rather than slagging off the away support for making you a fair bit of wedge.
I thank you.

Mist, some of your points are probably quite valid, but it is certainly not true about swindling attendance figures. There are two ways the clubs work out their attendances for matches. The "through the turnstiles" method, and the "total tickets sold" method. Palace use the former, Charlton I believe use the latter. Basically Palace count the total number of people entering the ground, whislt the method used by yourslves is based on total tickets sold for the game. Now this includes ALL season tickets, so even if a season ticket holder does not show up for the match then they are still counted as being there and included in the attendance figure. Now this doesn't give an acurate figure does it?

I just keep reading over and over the title of this thread and cant see anywhere about Palace v Charlton attendances!!
SO START YOUR OWN THREAD!
I know, I'll do it for you!

SmithEagle, i think you need your ears tested because i'm sure what was said was a little stronger than "please move away from the the goal" !!!
By saying you got further than us, i think you are trying to prove that you are better than us. That could possibly be true sir, but it leaves me with one conclusion. Quite simply, you bottle it whenever you play us !!!
As for the gaps in the Arthur, they might have been because of the gaping holes in the roof of that poxy stand. Beating Palace at Selhurst got a few people wet, but we didn't want to get that wet.

Palace do swindle the attendances.... they have been doing it for years...

Coke Addict & Rolling Mist: You support a joke team that is going through THE best time ever in their sad history. Most of your fans are glory hunters or Greenwich trendies who ound they couldnt take their kids to Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal or Westham because they are always sold out, and dont like the Millwall as they are too rough.
I like many Palace fans have never considered you as rivals as theres not point hating a joke team with a pikey stadium with pikey fans in a pikey area. You arrogant attitude and feelings that your superior to us (you will always be beneath palace) may have pised alot of people off, espcially 'Anti Addick'. But any attempt to start a rivalry will soon be killed off as you return to your usul ****ty selves, when all your hanger on fans piss off and you areleft twith 4000 average attendances.
YOU WILL NEVER HAVE THE SUPPORT/AMBITION/PASSION TO RIVAL CRYSTAL PALACE FC. WE ARE IN A DIFFERENT LEAGUE TO YOU (literalyat the moment. But remember what comes up must come down, esecially you clowns)

Rolling - some very valid points but please don't start with the "we'll never play you again" stuff - it's not big and it's not clever. And it's not true either - it'll come back to haunt you, that sort of stuff.
The last set of fans who sang that were Moan Utd to Man City - of course they are the epitome of arrogance now that Liverpool are pants.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe that the Manchester derby is back on at least twice next season? Who would have predicted that a couple of years back?
So, remember your place and stop with the "big-club" stuff - it's just not you.

I couldn't agree more with Addo Eagle - especially the comment regarding the "Greenwich Trendies". I happen to live relatively close the valley - and the amount of MESH shirts that have sprung up over the last few months is incredible....although it was quite amusing to be in the Charlton gym at the valley, with my very nice Palace Shirt on. I don't think they were best pleased!!!!!!!!
For god sake, if you going to take the piss out of us then make up your minds what we are going to be, because we can't be both hedgehog boiling pikies and 'greenwich trendies' ????
I can understand due to the inadequacies of your own club the need to take the piss out of our such successful establishment, but to make it a little more credible you would be better off singing from the same songsheet.

Charlton "fans" are just a bunch of funny strange people, some of whom live in caravans, and smell, and some are "greenwich trendies" who have just got carried away with Charlton going up and all...
And they are ALL completely STUPID! So there, you do have something in common...
Addo Eagle your wrong from start to finish of your above rant .Look where Charlton have been playing for the past 3 years ,top of div 1 twice and premier once and next season they are in the premier again . So compare that with palace .
Another point just becuase a club only attracted a few thousand fans 5 years ago it does not mean to say they cannot expand thier fan base ,I know Charlton have worked very hard to do this through various schemes.
One final point why do you lot call anything attached to Charlton "pikey" ? I can only wonder what you call non-whites ....moron .
Anyway looking forward to beating you next season ....if we go up Sunday .

Hey Super Gills. Went to your match at Wrexham before the main event at Tranmere. Congrats on the numbers you lot brought to Wales, but why didn't any of you sing - You out-numbered the sheep-sh*****s 3-to-1 but were awfully quiet. 6,000 of you giving it large might have helped your boys on the day.

Super Gills: its a very dangerous thing to go around and imply that someone is a racist. Its people like you with all this PC crap who realy mange to piss a lot of people off with your reckless comments. Anyway who the **** are Gillingham anyway?? Theres more Palace (and Millwall) fans than gillingham in Kent and I bet your chairmans going to relish the prospect of Palace coming to town, and filling your sad little stadium to capacity...all 10,000 of it!
Rolling Mist: what makes you confient of staying up when this years squad is weaker than the last. Your 3 'big name; signings of kiely, Shields & Svennson are hardly premier quality, plus you sold your best defender Mills to Leeds and mendoncas finished. Hope yur enjoyed your one true season of being better than Palace. Next year when we are rebuilding you will be in premier freefall, and the year later we'll laugh as you settle for Div 1 mediocrity as watch the Eagles rise like a phoenix to take their rightful place in the PremierLeague.

Firstly The Pikey thing came from the Caravans etc parked at the Valley just prior to it SHUTTING and no home ground = roaming types = you get the picture......
Secondly I would LOVE to see the Gills go up for another Derby game and of course Mr Taylor(Next England Manager??)

PS you one of them tossers that used to wait by the Octagon Waiting to TRY to beat the Matelots up? (Or even funnier The Gurkhas!!)

Addo Eagle is your glass half full or is it half empty ? I think you full into the half full section and fair play to your club needs supporters like you .
Addo, slagging off Charlton is about as pointless as replying to 'Away End' threads when you're in a business class lounge in Kuala Lumpur airport and could be quaffing gallons of free alcohol. What exactly is the point?
Nuff said. I'm off for a bucket of scotch. Talk to y'all back in Ballarat (and beloved South London later in June).
