i've supported palace for 15 years and i am finally sick of it. all this takeover stuff has been doing my head in and i've had enough. the move to gillingham is the last straw. i will not be going there and i am giving up supporting palace as of today.

i need a new team to support. any suggestions?

Sounds like Man Utd or Chelsea may suit you nicely....

Yes its easy. Chelsea for two years then onto Liverpool. Five years later I suggest you transfer to Rangers(the scottish version) before you realise youv'e wasted ten years and return to Crystal Palace.

Moan Utd. You obviously don't want to travel so you can be just like millions of other supporters and never go anywhere near Old Trafford. You'll also get the chace to whinge non-stop because you only win a single trophy during the year and not three like you have done every year since you started supporting them. You'll also feel more at home in Croydon surrounded by the true football fan's dress code of one of the 17 strips released during the year.

Enjoy.

I have lived away from SE25 for many years in various regions of the country and have never been able to switch my allegiences from Palace to a more local team. Palace are in my blood, and I could never change.

I assume you currently live close to the ground, well you are lucky, and even Gillingham is not too far for the true supporter. Why did you start supporting Palace fifteen years ago? I assume it was because it was your local team? If so, how can you contemplate switching loyalties. Fifteen years is a long time, I don't really believe that you will change in your heart. I never could, after thirty years of living away.

How about supporting Gillingham when they play at Wembley, and Man Utd when they're on the telly...

A "true" supporter just does not go somewhere else (like ex fulhamite Mellarse). These sorts of problems are typical Palace....thats why its never boring.

Why not follow Charlton. Just pretend you were a member of the 'back to the Valley party' and helped save the club years ago when things weren't going so well and your in. And remember you really hate 'Palarse' now.

Alternativly you could support Chelsea. This involves going to that sport shop in Croydon by the Whitgift centre and buying the new yellow 'Chelse' shirt. You then have to take some kind of drug which turns you into a total bigmouth and become an unpopular git who pisses everyone off with his **** opinons. If you have a car remember to put some blue ribons on the arial to show what a loyal blue you are.

The choice is yours.

I supported Palace for the 21 years now and I do confess I was a Liverpool fan before then. But I have to say that I had the best times following the Eagles up and down the country found, and found the support to be the best in the country.

There never a dull moment here at Palace and I wouldn't swap that for anything, although I would love a place in the premiership.

If you want to support Man U then goodbye to bad rubbish because a true Palace fan would not walk out like that.

PS Close the door on the way will ya.

PALACE TILL I DIE.

What a pratt you are. Palace are clearly better off without you. Plenty of Brighton fans did the same thing and disappeared off to Wimbledon when we had news of the Gillingham groundshare. Do we want them back? Do we f**K. It's a fact of life I guess. The true Palace fans will go to Gillingham as the true Brighton fans did (150 mile round trip) no matter how much it hurts. Some fairweather fans will turn up when it suits and idiots like this guy will disappear to their armchairs.

"i need a new team to support. any suggestions?"

Yes, I hear that Harchester Utd are good, they have a lot of TV coverage too which will suit your Charlton style approach to football.
