I am a Brighton fan of 30 years who lives amongst you near Croydon. As someone who has travelled to Gillingham in Brighton's troubled times I would like to make the following points about travelling to the Priestfield if you have to. personally I feel that the majority of Seagull fans hope you manage to stay at Selhurst

1. Yes, your crowds will suffer
2. The journey takes about an hour - though it is quite easy to park.
3. There is an excellent friendly pub close to the ground called The Cricketers - they even put on sandwiches for us on occasions.
4. If you do have to travel - it is not as bad as you might think - we didn't like it - but did get used to it and we made a lot of noise and made it our "home ground" for 2 years.
5. Massive traffic jams when you approach the M2 on the way home, though the local constabulary did provide motor bike cops who endeavoured to keep the traffic flowing.
6. Priestfield has been developed further since we were there, it looks a half decent stadium on TV.
7. The pitch at Priestfield is good
8. Catering not bad - try "Cascarino's" for a half decent burger.

Here's hoping all this is irellevent and that you manage to stay at Selhurst, but if you do move, remember - we got through it and came out of the experience a lot stronger.

cheers wallington seaweed scumbag.

I hope you have your own stadium (not that athletics track) and rise a couple of divisions so we can at least start a season (bit topical that) safe (that'll be a new feeling)in the knowledge that we'd already have 6 points.

Thanks WE, I hope the only trip we'll be making to Priestfield will be for our away trip to Gillingham, but appreciate the good thoughts in your message.

Its nice to know that all true fans stick together in hard times, and I look forward to renewing our rivalry in the not too distant future, hopefully in the 1st Div, and not the 2nd or 3rd.

Hark now hear the Palace sing!!!!!!!
