Cool. I enjoyed our last pre-season match at Swindon, even if the beer garden was covered in dog shit.

We spoke to Clinton after and offered him a lift back to Caterham. He seemed content in his female-filled 4x4 though...

Yep it will give a chance for all those 'exiled' West Country Eagles to get the BUZZ again.
Why not join us on the westcountryeagles website to meet others & make the longish journeys less boring & more affordable by contacting other Members.
It certainly helps the journey back when U've been thumped 3-0 & all feel like s**t you soon get to relive the 'glory' days & start looking forward to the good times that will come.

They should stop off at Lyon (and St Etienne for Philsick) on the way down.

I normally pop over to see family in Chepstow mid-July. I might have to put that trip back a couple of weeks to fit Swindon in.

Will definitely be the first team.

Dougie has said he see's the friendlies at Swindon and Reading as the time to field his full strength 11 that he see's starting the season.

Would be rude not to make the 4 mile journey! Can someone post on here when they get there if this away fan "bar 71" or whatever it's called that's supposedly next to the away turnstiles is open tonight as I will probably be turning up late doors. Cheers all!

with the evergrowing band of Yorkshire based Eagles, surely it can only be a matter of time before a pre-season tour of Harrogate and Knaresbrough ?

Or just East Yorkshire and North & North East Lincs ! We haven't played Grimsby for ages and have such fond memories of Blundell Park, standing in the freezing rain and usually losing with half the team getting sent off just to avoid getting frostbite ... southern softies of course :D

My sister-in-law has moved to australia and now calls herself an aussie.

Her brother pointed out that if Yorkshire was a country they would be above Australia in the medals table!!!

Laughed my head off!!!

This would be good. We will have to outsing 20,000 Tigers fans on our own on a Tuesday winter's night so we could do with something suitably strong to get our spirits up :p
