I wont back ecerything I post here - but I will tell you which ones I back and which I pick just for fun.
Bev 7.40 Ho Pang Yau - fancy it but 5/1 too skinny in a race like that.
Chester 7.50 - Anna Karreena - £40 win, and £10 double with Lunar Lord (Chester 8.50)
Kemton 8.00 I Fancy Another Glimpse, but will only back it if AK wins
More to follow

What a good winner AK was!!! Evens will do for £40:D
Bev 8.10 - Sanbenito £15 if better than 2-1, but Willhewiz could be EW value.
K 8.00 £10 Another Glimpse, but scared of Kareeb if it all drops right for him
C 8.20 No bet. If Mongan keeps Calling DotCom covered up till inside the final furlong he should win - but a tricky race
K 8.30 No bet.

Chest 8.50 - I have the £20 from the double running onto Lunar Lord. But will have a small ew bet on Maiden voyage (£3ew). Has a chance but is also ridden by the lovely Emma Ramsden:love:  I wish I could be.
Chest 9.20 Lago Di varano,EW, as much for his history (he has won me a small fortune over the years - and is part owned by someone I know) as the fact that the ground and trip are right for him - just the draw is tough
Bev 8.40 Le Fantasme - Simon Dow will not travel a horse 400 odd miles round trip for a $4k race unless it has a good chance. £15 win.
Bev 9.10 No bet.
Kempton 8.30 No bet. But Santa Catalina has a squeak.
K 9.00 Shafeeq. Alec Stewart has a good record with 3 year olds here, and stayed on well over a furlong less last time.
LL - why no rationale on your bets - come on - liven the thread up as all I am doing is convincing myself I know what I'm doing. Which will prove costly for me sooner or later;)

Great Quote from attheraces "Emma Ramsden is wearing waterproof breeches, so certain parts of her won't be getting as wet as some of the others"
They would if she was here. SAUSAGE

If I had been disciplined enough to stick to my original two selections - I would be doing fine. But pretending that I know about racing has cost me an extra £30 or so so far tonight!!

By my calcs (and I have had a smoke and a drink now) I think I laid out £96 on the horses tonight, and have returns to come of £79.20. And that great quote from attheraces.
I'll be back tomorrow with more insight into the bullsh!t world of horse whispering.

Ok. Today I will be betting as follows.
Chepstow 4.40 Bathwick Bruce and Akalim, 10 ew each, against a field of 20. First four places pays out, and they are 10-1 and 16-1 respectively. Only thing that stops me backing the first one alone is the softer ground. The second is from a shrewd trainer, lightly raced with a great jockey booked.
Hay 4.00 Cagui D'or £30. Dunlop again travelling a horse from Arundel - 500 mile + round trip. Mud loving stayer, unlucky on re-appearance this year.
Newbury tonight has some good races. Will post some bets and fancies later.
Feel free to tell me I'm talking out my arse, or provide any info I may find useful in my betting today please

First two beaten by a horse called EAGLES HIGH @ 11-1.
Second looked like it had walked all the way to Haydock.
£70 lost this afternoon!!
6.30 no bet - but Prairie dunes a possible
7.00 no bet - but choir master a possible
7.30 £20 Cupboard Lover - Nicky Henderson has excellent record on flat here, and horse in good form
8.00 No bet - but Prayers for rain a possible ew
8.30 If CL wins, I'll be backing Ajeel - owes me money from an unlucky run last time.
9.00 No bet. Shocking race.

Normally 15% to the stylist, when I have my roots done. No more than 10% to taxi drivers who go south of the river. 5% to a tactful bra fitter and 15% to 20% in Pizza Hut.

I backed 5 straight losers at Epsom, and laid £40 High Chap @ 7/2. Made about £80 back on later races, and thankfully cleaned up on Lewis last night - I laid about 16 seperate bets, fivers and tenners, and no-one had the right round. Still about £50 down on Saturday though.
Going to Lingfield today (if Treacle agrees!) so if I get time I'll give you the tips (to avoid!!) before I go.

Moving away from the horseys - what odds can you now get on France for the World Cup? I wouldn't mind a flutter on those odds.

Best price yesterday was 12-1 with Stan James - but do not think that will hold for long. Bet365, The Tote and William Hill were all going 10-1 yesterday. Agree that 12's would be a good price if still available

Are you making a night of it?? one of the Stones tribute bands is playing straight after racing. I'm thinking about it myself (have to see what the treacles are up to first).

Chivalry or Dafne in the 8.05 could be good things - both trained by the Handicap King Prescott. Im sure he will only run one of them. Also, Steve Drowne is due to ride in the second last at Newmarket (4.40) and has been booked to ride Mardoof for Mick Channon in the 6.30 at Lingfield. If he does take both rides he will be cutting it fine to get to Lingfield for the second which must mean he rates it quite highly??
James Fanshawe is red hot at the moment so any of his are worth close consideration.
But then again, I lost £80 on three bets today so what the fvck do I know :sob:
I'm just hoping the lovely Emma Ramsden will be doing Sky's coverage. If she is the treacle will have to take a back seat tomorrow!!
