At national level, Sweden are ranked 4th in the world, England 9th. GB is mainly England players so the comparison is valid. Obviously, this is a warm-up game for the Olympics which starts next Wednesday. Both teams are in the Olympics.

I think I am right in saying that quite a few of the top 10 aren't European though (USA, Japan, Brazil etc) so we are probably a little closer than that suggests?

USA are favourites and probably the best womens side. The best European side are Germany but they didn't qualify. I'd say France are the next best European side. GB and Sweden are strong defensively but haven't got enough to beat the top sides like USA.

I'd expect this afternoon's game to be defensive and low-scoring.

Good in patches, but I think both sides are holding back - which might be favouring the defences? Sweden have been better overall, the England keeper has played well. Ends 0-0 ...
