Game has just kicked off. First action from the Olympics, lets hope the women can get us off to a good start

First action was a shanked pass out for a throw :D

C'mon girls.

Normally I find women's football painful, but this has been ok so far. That may be because I've only ever watched England or the FA cup final and New Zealand look much the better team other than Kelly Smith.

Watching on BBC, listening to Five Live commentary (much better than TV one). Decent game so far, GB the better side.

Ali Riley of New Zealand played the last few years of her youth career playing at the club I coached for in LA the last year :)

Britain could be winning comfortably with the chances towards the end.

FT: 1-0

Deserved win for GB, but only a slim chance of winning the tournament on this showing, when compared with the quality of countries like USA and France.

Apparently the N.Korean women's team are refusing to play right now, because the S.Korea flag was incorrectly used on the big screen!

Just watched the highlights of the main games on BBC3 enjoy women's football it seems more skillful as the game is less physical so flair players get more time
