Fantastic news if they sign. They've both been great this season.

Moritz will go to Bolton

Why? Surely he's got a better chance going up with us and earning a bigger wage in the Prem? He's often said he took a massive wage cut coming here so I don't think he's influenced too much by cash.

Not if we go up.

What do you base that assertion on?

Freedman played him as sub, so i don't see why he'll think he is key up there. Jedinak is the worry for me

Is this a wind up, personal opinion, or do you have some reliable information to share ?

Moritz will go to Bolton

Considering he wanted to play football this season, and put himself in the shop window to go to a bigger club (I think he's at the best club), he will not go to Bolton. He will stay with us.

What he does at the end of the season, when his contract is up, is up to him - he has been open about his deal here. I hope, of course, like everyone else I guess, that he will stay beyond this season - hopefully in the Prem, because we will need skillful players there, and he sounds like one from what I've read on here, and heard elsewhere.

Great, I hope he stays as he's a more than decent "option" player. But I see no evidence that he is the heartbeat of the team, or major cause of success.

If he goes, that's just the business we are in. But I do trust IH to have a plan B and to be extremely persuasive if needs be.

Any suggestions on the upturn in Garv's performance? Maybe it's simply the old maxim about confidence being the difference between good and bad performance???

Nah you watch him carefully when we score or win i honestly think he's absolutely loving it at SP. If anyone signs for Bolton it'll solely be for but I think we can go up this season and certainly better chance than Bolton who were poor again at weekend despite beating the clowns.

why would Moritz go to Bolton? He came to Palace to put himself in the shop window as he wants to play in the prem. Bolton isn't enough of a step up im my opinion. Also i'm not sure he owes Dougie anything and i can't see why he would feel any alegance consiidering they were only together for about 10 games.

He's just being played in his correct position finally and he is out from under Ambroses shadow. Getting him, Delaney and Moritz on long contracts will be excellent work by the management ahead of the transfer window. A player that can cover for bolasie/zaha and cover for Murray and we can go for the finish line i reckon.

Not sure, just a hunch.

I love Moritz, my second favourite player so I really hope he doesn't.

Dont see it at all

Its not like he's someone Dopugie had been tracking for ages and only his personal relationship got him to sign

He may extend with us or he may move on, depends how in demand he becomes

But at this moment Bolton is a considerably less attractive option than Palace, unless they are still going to be paying big wages

Given both teams respective positions in the league table, I highly doubt it.

F*ck it, say to Moritz that he can stay as long as he f*cking well wants. I love the bloke and if signs a new deal I'll probably knock one out.

What a player he is.

Seriously though, Dougie may want to approach a couple of players, but I don't believe he has much to offer them beyond (potentially) some additional dollars ... DF not much of a threat in current circumstances IMO

Indeed. Sorting Murray and Jedi is the most important thing. If Moritz goes, I'm not too fussed. Johnny W is waiting in the wings.....

He's better in a good team than in a bad team, so you're pretty much correct. He's never going to be a roll-the-sleeves-up get stuck-in type player, because he doesn't have the pace or mobility to get there! But he offers undoubted quality, and is well worth a place on the bench for a top Championship team.

LOL. He's started nearly everygame and we're 2nd from top.

If we are to go up then Moritz would be the first player I would like to see signed up.

He has some real quality and the higher the league the better he can be in my opinion.

I love how people think because a manager signs a player they automatically love them and are desperate to follow them to another club. Moritz played with Freedman for a month and a half, people make it sound like he's in love with him as much as Llcoolsteve.

Yep. The Championship is all about energy and activity, and talented players struggle to showcase their ability in such an energetic and frantic environment. Both Garvan and Moritz would be more comfortable in the top flight, as would Wilf.
