View Full Version : Smith makes his mark
Hard man manager Alan Smith saw his high risk tactics pay off at the weekend, as only 20 of the squad were seen celebrating the 3-3 draw at Bolton in London's West End.
Top night spot 'Asia de Cuba', renowned for its world music, saw Neil Ruddock lead the singing in a raucous round of 'Glad all Over', followed by 'Going Down', before the group finally caught a fright bus back to Croydon at 5am. The bill was reputed to be £25,000 for a few lagers and some chilli prawns.
Smith said: ' Only days ago, at least 30 professionals would have been there, plus all the tea ladies and ground staff. Our situation needs a disciplinarian firm hand, and I am that man.'
Palarse are 23rd.

The Brighton squad celebrating there win at the weekend to move into 2nd position were spotted in various clubs in Brighton. The mood was apparently very gay.
Brighton are in the 3rd division.
Not bad Budgie, for an SE25 muppet. You're fighting a losing battle though, the jokes are all on Palarse just now. Still, at least you haven't given up totally...

ZZZzzzz zzzzzz ....
Whilst the entire Palace population continue to ignore them - it's nice to see that the sadgulls continually only have one team on their minds and only one place they can post ....
Sorry what divsion was that again ??
Errmmm, looking increasingly likely to be the same division as you next year Arussell.
And you may not have visited our very own NSC but it is heavily populated by Palarse contributors, who, to put it mildy are extremely offensive and childish, and do very little to help remove the general concensus that your fans are nothing but homophobic scum with an average age of about3.

Kelvin, I noticed the draw for the 1st round of the FA cup was made at the weekend, could you please try to stay in till Palace enter.
It would be nice to play you again, especially at Selhurst so there could be a decent crowd, because as much as I would like to visit Withdean, your stadium would not be big enough to house all the Palace fans keen to rekindle old memories.

Palarse on the other hand is not childish, more adolescent
You South Coast Scum crack me up! Better than listening to the clowns with insecure
drivel!
NSC- North Stand Chat, dunno the link though!
I can assure you though, Kelvin, Tommy cock (oops being childish) & AD, we wont
be in the same division next season.
But if we dont meet next season in Div 2 then there is the very real possibility that youd go down the following year and wed miss you completely on our way into div1.
Surely even youd rather it happens next season?
You cannot "assure" us of anything Eagle Mart. As the Team Of The 70's it all went ARSE up (make whatever comments you like), as the Team Of The 80s you COCKED up (again, feel free to comment) quite beautifully, the Team of The 90s? Well, they didn't manage to KEEP IT UP (as before, feel free to comment). So are you now gonna be the Team Of The Nought-ies? Please say yes, please. Cos then we'll know what will happen. I cannot assure you that we will meet next year, I hope so, I certainly think we will get promoted, so it's up to you lot to complete the deal.
Until next season then....
For the first and quite possibly only time I agree with everything you've just said. I would 'quite like' us to stay in past round 1, and get you muppets in the 3rd. A home draw would be nice one year soon. And I would rather we draw you at Selhurst, the game deserves more than a 7,000 crowd. We'd get more Albion fans at Selhurst than we would at home.

Nice to see you still retain your sense of humour I guess - don;t you realise you only have 7,000 fans ?
Keep on posting here though lads - as you as you keep acknowledging that this is the place to be - we're happy to see you here.

Spunkgulls, keep dreaming, you are about a quarter of the season in and you are not exactly running away with the division:
1 Chesterfield 37
2 Brighton 32
3 Rochdale 32
4 Leyton Orient 29
5 Cheltenham 26
6 Southend 26
7 Scunthorpe 25
8 Cardiff 23
9 Barnet 23
10 Blackpool 22
There is still a long way to go and you are not assured of promotion. Even if you did get promoted twice in 2 years why would you want to meet us to get humiliated.
You have heard of the "gulf" between decent Premiership sides and Div 1, well there is a bigger one between Div 1 and the "pub style" football of div 3, I hope we get you in the cup to prove this point.
Thanks for posting the top of the table Top Eagle, very kind of you, it makes me happy to see it. No on paper we are not running away with it, however, take into consideration that we actually lost 3 of the first 4 games, and were playing catch up. Well now wee have caught up, Chesterfield only managed to beat us after we were playing with 10 men for 45 minutes. As for the gulf between 1st and our pub style, mmmh, well we actually acquited ourselves very well against Millwall in the cup, we deserved to win the game up there. And as we all know, Millwall actually stuffed you lot in pre Season. Oh yes, such quality in the 1st Division.
