View Full Version : U17 Academy v Reading

03-11-2000, 12:26 AM
Reading have just announced that the Under-17 game between our two clubs scheduled for Saturday morning at the National Sports Centre has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Given that the Under-19 fixture is meant to take place at the same venue on Saturday as well, does anyone know if that is off at well?

No the U19's are considered big enough to look after themselves and they have decided that they are allowed to play but only if they show their 25m badge's on the way in!

Thanks for that Royals.

The U-17 game was supposed to be at the Beckenham training ground - not the CP Sports centre.

The U-19 game there should be on - the reserves played there last night without any problem. It's right by Crystal Palace train station if you're chancing it by public transport !!

BTW - good luck this season - you have the makings of a tasty squad there !

Thanks for the reply - so much for the venue shown on the FA Premier Academy newsletter!

I won't be going to the Academy games as I have a date in Walsall, but my website covers Academy stuff.

And you're right - we do have a tasty team, especially the forwards.
