If we keep taking these midfielders released by Spurs on trial, it is only a matter of time before we give Bostock a go!!

And can I say now that I never rated him when he played for our Academy. Could not see what the fuss was about and would have snapped Spurs hands off for the 800k up front that they had to give us after the tribunal.

You must query his judgement getting involved with a bird like that at his age - OK so young men like a MILF to gain experience but come on she will run him ragged and his game will suffer

Interesting that in his 4 appearances he looked nothing special - And I know its only 4 apperances and he was 15 etc but apart from a confident strut he didnt show much (from memory)

At 15 and at NPC level I think not looking like a fish out of water is a decent achievement.

So we`re giving a trial to a nobody player who likes f**king dogs. Sorry son, but we have better than you in our academy. Good luck. Show him who`s boss Hiram.

Close friend of mine runs a popular Spurs forum/blog - one of their contributors is essentially a Spurs version of Woosie, attends most youth games and knows everything about their U18s.

He said:

"Palace? Really? He was previously trialling for Swindon. He's a steady-eddy midfielder who has just returned from a very long-term injury. Doesn't 'excel' in any area but is a good positional player with a neat touch IMO."

Problem with Bostock is between his ears. Physical Injuries heal but unfortunately you can't fix stupid.

He just used to take ball off centre backs deep in own half in academy games, pass sideways, get ball back (still in own half) and repeat the procedure. Could not see the fuss over him while people like Moses, Williams and Scannel stood out like sore thumb.

Dear Oh Dear, the premier leaugue is actually really phucking depressing.

I hope we can avoid becoming just another premier league team in the tabloids for all the wrong reasons. I *would* rather we get relegated.

Some Gary Issott interviews talking very positively about him and saying we will take a longer look. What is it with young footballers and contraception, already has a kid and no age at all.

Engaged to the girl and living in Surrey - I've never been a great advocate of settling down, but there are worse places a footballer could be in their life. Seems like a really good lad from the interview, hope he gets a contract and a chance.

Too young for all the relationship trappings which was another contribution to Bostock and his demise. Sounds like he could come good in a year or so.

I guess for a 19 year old it's something to tell your mates about later?

If he does come good for Palace, that would make him the literal opposite of Bostock :D

Being serious though we should look at some of the kids being released by the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea. We can also offer them the chance to stay in London and get games in the Premier League.

Why is everybody busting on Bostock? He earned the club a much needed 750k - which is a hell of a lot more than he's worth now.

Be interesting to see if he gets a start or is on the bench against Crawley. Did he take Campana's spot in the second half?

Looks like the previous injury problems might be our gain, still very young seems to have a point to prove and looks like he wants to be a Palace player much prefer the idea of a two year deal for this lad as opposed to Gosling (not that Gosling is old and was highly rated before his disaster at the toon). Spurs seem to crock young players with alarming regularity it seems to me.

Yes. released after a month by Morton when they hit bottom of the league and sacked the manager who'd brought him in

dorkinglad
25-01-2014, 02:29 PM
He played well against the mighty East Grinstead in a friendly that I watched pre season but the opposition was unfit and unable to press the ball which allowed him space he'd never get against better opposition. He's technical very good and can use both feet with alacrity but he didn't look any way ready to compete for a first team place.

if he wants to stay in the game he should consider a good quality foreign league such as the Jupiler in Belgium. Waste of his time playing on Scottish pitches that wouldn't suit his technical ability.

CPFC_DAVE77
25-01-2014, 07:16 PM
He's a good player - if I were a lower league gaffer I'd snap him up.
