Hi Steve,

Do you know if the players and staff are planning on doing a lap of honour after Full-Time in the Liverpool game?

As this is our last home game it would be tradition but people would need to know in advance as it is going to be a very late finish for some people.

For instance I'd have to miss it as driving back to Norwich on a midweek game means I don't get home until 1am-ish anyway

I remember one of those after we beat Ipswich in our last home game of 1993. A week later we were relegated.

Let's hope so, but let's not talk about it yet.

Fair one, how about a lap of thanks?

You still cannot bring yourself to admit we are fine yet can you Sir?

Regardless of league position, Steve, a lap of honour should be done.

This is to allow people to honour their efforts, and has f-all to do with what division we're in next season - not all of us care as much about that as others.

No I can't. I've been a Palace fan too long.

Indeed. Man City would make sense (and would be covered on sky!) but only if we are mathematically safe by then. That Ipswich game came back to haunt us.

This has to be done, been an absolutely amazing season and regardless of whether we stay up or not (We will :) ) they deserve a great reception. As do you and the other owners, who should join them.

Nearly. Tony thinks we are safe but I am not 100% sure. I wish someone could prove that it's impossible for us to go down.

Is that so you can add that extra 10% to season ticket prices? ;)

If we win Saturday we will be safe, we'll be on 43 points:

Sunderland can get a maximum of 15 points which would take them to 41
Cardiff can get a maximum of 12 points which would take them to 41
Fulham can get a maximum of 15 points which would take them to 42

But Sunderland still have Cardiff to play so one of those teams cannot make that points total.

I suppose if you want to include Norwich as well, they could get a maximum of 12 points which would take them to 44 so we'd be a point beyond that. But we are saf

I did a predictor with us losing the rest of our games 0-3 and everyone else around us winning 3-0 unless teams at the bottom played each other, then they drew.

We still stayed up on goal difference over Fulham.

A point on Saturday at West Ham and a Fulham defeat should see us over the line

Not quite there yet - this is a possible table....

13 Norwich 38 12 8 18 30 53 44 -23
14 Swansea 38 11 10 17 48 50 43 -2
15 West Ham 38 11 9 18 39 48 42 -9
16 Fulham 38 13 3 22 38 74 42 -36
17 Hull 38 11 8 19 35 42 41 -7
18 Cardiff 38 11 8 19 34 64 41 -30
19 Crystal Palace 38 12 4 22 27 45 40 -18
20 Sunderland 38 8 8 22 33 59 32 -26

But my God it's so close I can taste it!

What happened to "the old Palace way of doing things is over" that you said last year?

A more positive way of looking at where we are would be that if we finish 10th or above it'll be the 2nd best season in our history :)

based on norwich's fixtures, we're absolutely safe.
