Hi Steve,

As I'm sure you're aware our traditional fan base was spread over 3 boroughs with sprinklings in the neighbouring boroughs. Times have changed a due to migration a lot of people have moved further south into Surrey, Sussex and Kent.

Are you able to tell us (via season ticket holder information) where the core of our attending supporters come from? Whether we are still best supported from the South London boroughs or if indeed most of have moved out into leafy Surrey. (My money is on the boroughs Croydon and Bromley being top)

I don't trust bbs polls as any poll would completed by fans that don't/can't attend games.

Would be good to know, even if just for marketing reasons!

I don't know the answer to this but will ask Sharon if she has any info.

I know it wasn't an open poll but why should people lie about where they live, unless it's Birmingham. Old thread (http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=232703) and slightly related (http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=132065)

Even more interesting would be the breakdown of ticket applications for Wembley. Millwall said 50% of theirs had Kent postcodes.

That was my poll. People have moved away from the area. Just 16% from Croydon. Was completed by 823. Which is statistically very accurate. General Election polls only use 1,000 in a survey.

I don't believe that all 823 were season ticket holders. Almost 30% of fans live 'else where' and I bet a lot of them live abroad.

I'd like to find out where our paying fans come from.

864 have responded. Even if you take out half the 30% that live in places not listed there is still only 16/85ths of fans in Croydon or 19%.

Ah, but that's Millwall. They can't spell, it should have been a C and U rather then K and E.

Surely it's easy to just do an analysis of the postcodes of all 15,000 season ticket holders and split them in to London Boroughs, individual counties outside London and any overseas ST holders.

The results would be quite illuminating.
