Is it not the sponsor anymore?

GAC have been a fantastic sponsor for Palace over many years but it looks unlikely that they will be on the shirts next season. GAC's Bill Hill is a Man City fan so Palace did him a big favour on Monday night!

The club is currently negotiating with interested potential sponsors but nothing has been confirmed yet.

I think I am not alone in saying "thanks" to GAC for sticking by us. Especially during our tough times. One of our longest serving sponsors I believe (along with Churchill).

As this is a question forum: Are Farr Vintners interested in having their name on the front of the kit ;)

I'd love it, but we're talking about a serious 7 figure sum to be a Premier League shirt sponsor and Farr Vintners couldn't afford that.

Are you down to a sponsor shortlist and if so have you seen mockups of their logos on the kit?

Is there a bidding war going on? :D

I guess it will be announced before the kit goes on sale?

Steve , thats fair enough . But will there be some form of advertising for GAC ? they were there when we needed them and we dont forget things like that .

I realised I was pushing my luck with each individual question. ;)

Given what we did to Liverpool on monday, wouldnt be surprised if City become our sponsors by way of thanks with the logo being a pic of suarez crying on the selhurt pitch.

We would make millions on kit sales alone :)

My boy is studying at Southampton Uni. he was taking a walk along the docks with his Palace top on when some 'madman' came running out of one of the offices down there and asked if he could take his picture.

Wasn't that creepy in the end, apparently GAC have an office down there and couldn't believe someone with a Palace top on was outside :)

GAC have a lot of offices in places with docks. Kinda their thing.

Do I need to buy a couple of bottles of Liebfraumilch to make this happen? :)

I hear you, but you could argue GAC have had a fantastic return on that investment as a result of the play-offs and global Premier League coverage, for which they were presumably paying Championship rates.

If they still want to sponsor us I'd be very happy to continue the relationship as long as they pay the market rate. Presumably those are the discussions which have happened or are happening.

GAC have had a great deal this season as we sold the sponsorship before we knew we were in the PL. As I said, they have been a great sponsor and everyone is pleased that they enjoyed great exposure this season.

As you say, we are now able to command a PL "market rate" as we can sell the PL package before the season has even finished.

Shame- no more free box for me as my work is one of their largest customers and got invited up a few times!

Back with the peasants it is!

I didn't say that GAC won't still be involved with Palace. I really hope that they will be.

Quick question please.

With regards to sponsors and short lists! Do potential sponsors contact Palace with a view to a deal, or does the club its self actively seek out sponsors by contacting them?

Thanks

Both. There is plenty of interest now that we are a mid-table Premier League club with a rising profile, a catchy name - and being London-based helps too.

I would hope having the best support in the Prem is a big attraction as well, would it not?

It certainly helps but if of course it's the millions watching on tv who sponsors are really after, not 25,000 people in the stadium

Steve - please, please let it not be a payday loan shark outfit. I would hope that our Palace values would mean a sponsor's respectability is a prerequisite. Kevin
