Am i correct in understand that undersoil heating is being installed this summer, if so, can you arrange for time lapse shots of the work and the new pitch turning green?

Yes it is. I'll ask the communications dept if they can follow the progress of this with photos on the web site during the summer.

Digging down as far as you are, to install the pipes, are you a bit concerned about what you might find?
I've always been given to understand that the obstacle presented by some of the dense remains of the brick works were part of the reason given for the lack of under soil heating in the past.
While I'm here, any chance of running a couple of the heating pipes under my seat? Won't help the Chalfont's, but will keep me nice and toasty. Ta, very much.

Steve, I presume that if this gets delayed in anyway and it won't be ready for the first game of the season, you can ask for an away game to start?

My lawn is full of weed (not the Brighton variety!)
Any chance I could have some of the hallowed turf to replace it with please?

That is certainly a possibility

Yes we requested a switch of first game before
Think when homesdale wasn't ready?
It worked fine
Although playing your first 3 or 4 games away isn't ideal

The plan is to have it completed on time.

As is mine. I reckon you could make a few quid or certainly a sizable donation to scarlett by getting it cut up and rolled to the side for fans to buy. Any chance?

The brickworks question is interesting too. What are you going to do if there is no soil past two feet down?

no idea! We'll leave that to the people who are installing it. We're not doing it ourselves, it's work that has to be done by a specialist contractor.

Can't wait to see Steve Pope's (@sportingwales) time lapse video of the installation process.

I think they think someone nicked the pitch and are on the lookout for likely suspects.

I read the topsoil is going to Beckenham. So does that mean brand new pitches to train on as well?
