Basically the newspaper version of the website... Access but no criticism according to Luke Edwards - North East reporter for Daily and Sunday Telegraph.

A potentially worrying precedent for the industry.

Really depends on the owners - I could see Hull or Cardiff doing the same thing. This type of thing just pisses off fans and other journalists, so can't see what they are gaining.

I wonder if Papis Cisse could use this to engineer a move away?

Just remembering the crap written about us at the start of last season. Papers/journos aren't always the pure, impartial news providers they claim to be.

No but, as an industry, is this not essentially The Sun paying for access to players?

Yeah it's definitely a step in the wrong direction.

Weren't The Sun the paper that rightly humiliated NUFC over all the Joe Kinnear nonsense?

Is it in French as they now have 9 French players.

Newcastle are doing so much to help develop English players aren't they ?

After Newcastle losing tonight 2-1 to League One Oldham the inside story should make interesting reading.

The partnership is off to a flying start.

Nine French and Four Dutch players in the Newcastle squad so much for the North-East being a hot-bed for English talent.

Surely a limit on foreign players must be on the horizon after England's dismal showing at the World Cup.

Pretty sure that reading is not one of the skills required for it.
