Robins, who took charge of Huddersfield in February last year, has had his contract terminated by the club after that heavy opening day loss to Bournemouth which he labelled as a 'disgrace

Looks like he was pushed out by the board.

Scanell came on as a half-time sub. Don't know where that other bloke that used to play for us was - injured probably, or left.

Not sure, Sky says left, but that tweet makes it sounds like he was sacked. I reckon he was probably pushed out.

Bit of an over-reaction

Mate who used to play for hudds (still on coaching staff) says sacked. Not a particularly well liked manager by all accounts

he's had his chance. Managers need to know that if the team loses then they should be sacked

All abit odd

There are always freak results on the opening day, ludicrous to start chopping and changing on the basis of one game.

Spent loads getting out of league one, spent loads in the champ, expected to push for promotion. Start the season with a massive defeat, sorry Mark you've had your change on to the next.

Huddersfield chairman has previous for sackings at 'wierd' times, his timing is always spot on though in the long term.

In 05/06 when Sir Steve mullered the league with Reading, I'm pretty sure they lost their opening game by 5 or 6?

And we all know how bad our start to the season was when we got promoted in 12/13.

That seems like a very quick departure, but it may well be based on it appearing that Robins hadn't turned things round from the poor run at the end of last season.
Be interesting to see who they get in.
