Why have you? Is it that funny that's your biggest rivals that you predicted would be relegated from the championship, got promoted at your expense, stayed in the premiership while your club is showing obvious signs of financial strains. I can see why we'd be pissing ourselves with laughter - but you? I don't get it.

To say bye bye to something, Londoner, you poor demented sap, you have to say hello to it.

Remind the boys and girls of your team's last game in the top flight?

Last season? Last decade? Last Century?

Remember the Play Offs a year ago? You were rubbing your hands when FFS Glenn got the injury in the first leg, but once again, as we have been doing since the year dot, we came back and knocked your stupid club back into our shadow.

I know, was just mocking him. If it was Furk or that Wig fella I could take it all day long as they have posted on here continually and it would actually get to me, but him crawling out under a rock I just laugh.

To be fair I have given Brighton loads of grief recently but at the end of the day it's situations like this that show both clubs are both trying very hard to keep within our means so I will give there club credit for that at least.

Even though there are our hated rivals I do begrudgingly respect them for that.

Both our clubs have been at the pits of despair, and would never risk entertaining that again.

Palace losing the man that saved an inevitable drop back into the championship, did somewhat cheer up an otherwise thoroughly depressing day with Ward also swerving us, gloating about that alone in the context of our current problems seems crazy.

Palace (through gritted teeth) are in the Prem with another season of millions in TV money, with a competitive enough prem squad on a current post admin model of sustainability, replacing the manager is no big deal and there's a few candidates out there, they may even get a better fit (here's hoping its a calamity!).

Compared to the absolute shambles on the south coast right now and a competitive team ripped apart with a lot of dross, a rookie manager, players all avoiding our cheapskate advances and Bloom either not willing to spend on the team or skint...... it really doesnt bode well.

Londoner the beauty of banter is when its relative, if we were flying this season and everything was going grand for another assault on the top 6, then I'd share the sentiment about Pulis, as it is our team is in tatters and its becoming a farce, replacing a manager is easy, replacing a squad, having sold all your good players for millions and not being prepared to spend a dime is mission impossible and not even Tony Pulis could save us right now.

Save it for the end of the season, "he who laughs last......" and all that..... it wont be us this season

Good post again, WHP.

Here were my thoughts back in March:
Telling your manager how to manage the team and who to buy is one thing. Having an input into signings and the direction you want the team to go in is another. I'd be equally as horrified by the idea of Pulis being given a Harry Redknapp style free reign to destroy the club as I would be by a megalomaniacal chairman trying to undermine the manager and interfering with decisions on the playing side. There has to be a balance, and I've seen nothing to suggest there's anything but that at our club, save the usual snidey agenda driven comments by the usual suspects on here. Such is the general state of modern journalism these days that all it takes is for a hack to see a few rumours on a message board........

I enjoyed the Ron Noades interview (I think it was recently reposted on HOL radio), where RN recalled the history of some of our best ever signings. Coppell didn't fancy Wright at first, Noades had to convince Copell to sign Coleman, Thomas was pretty much signed by accident when Noades was scouting David Platt, how they stumbled upon Mark Bright....it's a delicate balance to successfully bridge the gap between ownership and management, and it would be astonishing if there are not disagreements along the way.

Time will tell if there is anything more serious than this, but in their bias against Parish, lots of people are drawing a lot of conclusions. Say if he is interfering - is that necessarily a bad thing? If it's for vanity's sake and he fancies himself as a back seat driver football manager, then clearly yes. If it's to safeguard the club by vetoing potentially harmful decisions for the future of the club, then I say interfere more than Andy Street discovering Stuart O'Keefe in his underpants, passed out on his sofa.

In conclusion, bollocks.
None of us know the true ins and outs of this saga, but the manager/funding/transfers dynamic is a common source of friction at clubs.

I always suspected it would do for Pulis. He's too hung up on 'never been relegated' and all that stuff. How many times has Redknapp gone to the press to say "if we want to get into the CL/promotion etc we'll need serious investment during the transfer window" - thereby focussing the blame on any future failing on the club unless they give him shitloads of dosh.

Managers and players are transitory in nature, clubs and fans are not. It's my opinion that giving a manager full empowerment is a dangerous road to ruin, so I back the owner(s) standing their ground. The only scenario I could find fault with is if Pulis was misled when hired, but we'll probably never know what was agreed and not. It's not like we're on our third successive manager who was given the promise of a Championship thoroughbred and given a League One Donkey or anything like that.

But regardless of Londoner's usual cowardly and cumbersome baiting, I'm not unduly perturbed by Pulis' departure. His coaching will be missed, but not his political posturing.

The future safeguarding of the club is more important, and with that I trust the owners more than any manager. I hope we get in a competent manager who helps us give a hell of a go at staying up, but whose ego is able to overcome being relegated, provided he has the assurances that if he's getting the most out of his squad, the club will stick with him during its goal of sustainable success.

Being relegated like Wolves, Leeds, Bolton etc would be a disaster. Being relegated like West Brom, not so. Wait and see, I guess!

And has this attendance actually got you anywhere yet, like into the Premier league? No I thoughg not. Anyway, even you know that the ' official' attendance is not the number of weeds actually in the stadium it includes tickets sold to those who don't turn up, so many empty spaces on SSN last week...probably won't be long before you can get ALL your crowd in one stand!

That's what happens when you have to sell your best players to cover losses and or the players or managers realise that they need to leave to get top flight football, much better to be PLA (Premier League Already) than be told by delusional fans that they are PLR, when clearly they aren't, can't remember honourable and level headed clubs like Burnley spouting all that sh*t and splashing stupid money about.

I can see their training ground from where I'm sitting now, albeit through binoculars, as I type this they are installing wider goals to boost confidence :D

Future England players will be produced here, apparently :D

It took you THREE attempts to win in THE CHAMPIONSHIP: Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham, Leeds. All former big clubs that have massively fallen from grace. You are below Brentford, Bournemouth, Millwall.

We've had ONE attempt in the PREMIER LEAGUE against Arsenal. A team much better than the three you faced combined. Away. And only lost 2-1 in injury time. We're above Manchester United.

Enjoy your one point per game. As you're new to all this, one point per game meant 20th in your league last season. :hi:
