Couple of quotes from NSC.... :)

"The manager is poor but the squad is shocking too. Centre midfield is pathetic and look at the amount of loans. Burke and even Bloom have got a lot to answer for for allowing us to end up in this mess."

"Check out the Brighton and Hove Albion accounts! See for yourself we have no money Bloom bailed us for another 40 million last year! The guy isn't a bottom less pit"

The gift that keeps on giving. Such a shame to see such a big club going down the tubes ;)

You have more faith than I do.

I am shocked at just how shit we have become in such a short period of time.

It boils down to what many of us said. The nuts and bolts of what drives any club is the final product on the pitch. Under Gus, complete goon though he is as a man, there was some semblance of direction for on pitch matters.

Sure, sometimes the direction was left, right, left again repeat ad nauseum in front of the penalty area, shout at the referee, and instruct cyborg Dunk to maim any potential threat, but it worked quite well.

However, the man's autonomous ways caused Bloom to baulk at ever affording his football manager the same levels of power again. On pitch matters seem to be dictated by a strange melange of people, who no doubt spend as much time planning out how to apportion blame to each other in weekly board meetings as they spend doing their jobs.

The party line is that the manager has the final say in transfers, but it does seem as though your post Gus appointments have seemed a little hamstrung in this respect. Look at the signings under Oscar and Sami, and tell me if you think they'd even heard of most of them, let alone coveted them?

Poor Bloom. He envisioned Barcelona, but ended up with the Minorca Donkeys

eaglejez
13-12-2014, 09:59 AM
The key to the extra hilarity at their expense is all the PLR , we are suddenly a big club etc that we had rammed down our throats by people who quite clearly are so new to football that they don't realise these things all go in cycles (and tbf FC and Wiggy aren't in that group).

There's no way Brighton will go down. The new manager will get them mid table.

The bigger worry is the financial sustainability of the club regarding the stadium. Or put another way when the accounts come out if the 'Admin & op costs' are still c15m then it proves they are essentially fixed overheads meaning that as an ongoing operation they are totally screwed long term.

Don't think that one will work anymore. They have probably gone from being totally unheard of in Spain, to now being seen for what they are - a crap club with laughable delusions of grandeur - bearing in mind Garcia and Vicente who have been there recently.

Mmm, I doubt he would have walked without some kind of behind the scenes pay off. They can just add it to the 9 figure debts.
If that was the case why would Bloom bother to fly back to Australia?

It's a fair call. Londoner is the most pathetic bottle job if an away fan we've ever had. And when you consider the Charlton fans we used to have that is impressive.

I love him. He utterly embarrasses his own club time after time. It's brilliant.

Next manager to be either Tim Sherwood or Roy Keane. Either would be a great match for Brighton and it's customers.

oh, **** me, make this happen!
