where? why? mass disorder or celebrating?

QPR v Chelsea testimonial, night before the 89 cup final, final whistle goes & about 100 CFC youngsters get on the pitch & run a few QPR, got as far as the centre circle & they legged it lol!

Palace v Blackburn 1989 went with a Palace mate & got on the pitch after the game as they'd just won their play off final.

Villa away day of the cross bar being done by CFC, got on when we scored & am on the club end of season video, got on again at ft & was just in front of the goal when the cross bar got snapped, even Bates was on the pitch with us!

Brentford v Fulham loads of us went for a laugh, Brentford won 3/4.0 i think & went up got on the pitch with 100s more & Brentford charged the Fulham end but they didnt want to play.

Plymouth away 1989, weirdly the plod escorted us out of the away end & along the touchline to exit the ground, 100s run about on the pitch all scoring top corner screamers with an invisible ball.

One of my favourite times was v Sheff Utd at home in 94, last game of the season, got on when we scored our 3rd goal, from the shed, got chased off by plod & ended up in the benches, got back on at ft.
Plenty of other times as well.

Exeter v QPR pre season with my mrs, went in the home end & got taken along the touchline to the QPR end.

In answer to the OP:-

1) Selhurst Park. Numerous end of season (celebratory) pitch invasions. Not for quite a few years though (bit difficult from the upper tier)

2) Stockport. For about a minute running around like a celebrating mentalist until someone pointed out that Birmingham still had a few mintes to play and we weren't safe yet.

3) Anfield, for a music concert.

4) Crawley's old ground (nobody could be bothered to walk round the pitch at the end of the game!)

5) Uddevalla in Oddevold (Sweden) half time kick around (actually the track behind the goal). Stewards had to get us off so they could start the 2nd half!!

6) Barnet - Palace played there pre-season and a group of us decided 11 for a away end seat was too much when there was a home terrace, so we paid the 6 terrace, then got walked round to the seats

7) Newcastle - when my son was mascot

I used to work for Axa insurance who sponsored the FA cup at the time.

I played for the works team and we played at the old Wembley just before the knocked it down which was amazing, just a great experience, the changing rooms, the big wembley bath afterwards etc, very surreal.

Just realised that in 37 years of Palace matches I have never been on any pitch.

Can't say that I've ever felt I was missing out.

I gather that several thousand Palace watched the match whilst on the pitch at Stamford Bridge during the St Valentine's Day Massacre. :lux:

Been on Palace's pitch numerous occasions, once climbed over the top gate at the Holmesdale with some mates at night to have a kick around on the pitch with a tennis ball.
Southampton's pitch and Brighton's in the 80s:D

Cool story, bro.....I've always wanted to post that. Well I haven't really.

Been on the hallowed turf a few times. Stockport, Loftus Road when that scumbag Allen ran all the way up to us. Well I say I ran onto that plastic crap...if you happened to be near the front (which is not where we started standing) then you had no choice.
Oh and Turf Moor many moons ago. Well I actually put me foot over the side line and then ran back into our lot. Whilst giggling like a little cissy girl.

I done a tour of the old Wembley just before it closed, got some great photo's of it, but to actually play on it would be something else.

Orient April 1980.....we won Division 2 at Brisbane Road, celebratory pitch invasion dodging policemens indiscriminate batons, don't think there was any need for that,we had 3 quarters of the attendance and i was 14.

Filbert Street v Newcastle in the nineties....everyone went on ...and the referee did't bother bringing the players back out and finished the game before the 90 minutes were up.

The new ground....celebrated last seasons promotion.

Trying to think if theres any more, probably somewhere in the old memory.

Selhurst - plenty of times mainly end of season.

Qpr - last game of season early 90's, we chased them of the pitch, then the players came out in the main stand throwing boots down etc

Tranmere - last game of the season, remember Coppell throwing his jacket into the crowd.

Stockport - After Dougies goal + end of game

Brighton - Zds game at the Goldstone after Wrighty scored in extra time

Wba - last game of season when they won the league

Sheffield Weds - final whistle in 2010

Forest - 93/94 after Damian Mathew scored

Leatherhead - Boxing Day a few years ago after Whyteleafe scored the winner in the 90th minute

Wembley old/new for many concerts - Oasis/Foo Fighters/Killers

Selhurst a few times, most memorably before a friendly with Chelsea a few years ago. Had tickets in the away end and we were singing palace songs, so the stewards kindly moved us on the pitch and into the holmesdale. All round result, the chelsea fans remained safe and i felt like a right geezer for a few minutes.

Tooting and mitcham away after Whyteleafe scored a belter

Selhurst.. many a time. I remember Ian Wright in the 89 playoff saying 'get off the ******* pitch!' after the third goal went in. Also been a bit of a scamp in my younger days and went up the old floodlights on the holmesdale, the top of the roof af the AW (it's a deceptively long way down from the edge of the pitchside roof) and in the commentators box in the AW.

Apart from that can only think of Croydon FC at the Arena if it counts and the non-league pitch at Grebbestad when Palace played IFK Gothenburg 7 years back. The pitch kind of extended up into a grass terrace so it was no big deal tbh.

oh yeah, the old Dulwich Hamlet ground and old Tooting + Mitcham ground at Figges Marsh. The new Dulwich ground also, have played on it in a cup final and scored there:D

Qpr 1982 plus end of season one in early 90's
Brighton in zenith data.
Palace - various celebrations plus the anti- merger with Wimbledon one.
Wembley after defeat to the mancs. Waited for a gap and jumped the fence to grab Nigel Martyn, not really the pitch though as I only made the running track.:p
Southampton late 70's ,more for self preservation than any other reason.

Rushden and Diamonds v St Andrews...fa vase....most of us were local and Leicester supporters....2 double decker bus loads,a few vans and cars and a few on the train all met up before the game in a local wetherspoons to watch Leicester on the tv win away at Leeds....cue singing and dancing on the tables.....

2.45pm and we pile down to the ground,Drews average attendance around 50 and here they were away with 300 plus .....if you wrote a script it would go something like the events we lived through that day.....little Drews hold the ex football league team to a 0-0 at half time....2nd hald a load of us pitch up in the home kop, which was pretty impressive compared to shivering your nads off back at our ground off Aylestone Road.....we sing our hearts out alongside the vocal home contingent who consider us having no chance of winning, look down on us to a degree but are unable to move us from their territory....

2nd half Drews score and we go mental....the home fans now don't like the fact we are in with them,winning...and celebrating....final whistle blows and we invade the pitch to congratulate the players, not pro footballers, just average bods like ourselves....in the clubhouse after the match, mostly sweet .....in the pub a bit later...then 4 police vans tell us its time to go home.....Giant killing at its best..

Stockport - at the final whistle, not the first burst after the Douglas goal.
West Brom - After they'd been promoting at Wolves' expense following beating us.

Selhurst Park, strictly speaking, during the POTY awards but also to play for football aid
The Dripping Pan, Lewes and Withdean Stadium, Preston Park for REMF matches.
