Perhaps the club shop could stock official half and half scarves for the rare occasion. Maybe give them out free to twirl to create a false corporate atmosphere. We would be the only first club to do that.

Can't wait to clap Gerrard, will be a dream to see him play. The most famous team on Earth at Selhurst Park.I won't sing or chant, nor say anything unkind to the famous reds because I don't want to put them off their world-beating football.

Will be a joy to behold, oh yeah and I am a Palace fan.

Will people be going dressing in Palace jerseys with Liverpool socks and shorts or vice-versa? Which will look better with the half and half scarves do you think?

Oh to still be in England. I've only seen us play Liverpool tens of times, including numerous cup semi finals.

Let's hope we're classy on TV, and afford these overpaid and underachieving Liverpool legends the obsequious respect they deserve, rather than making Selhurst a cauldron of intimidating hostility.

Hopefully we'll score a goal. Regardless, we'll always have our scarves

Just think, we could be Stevie G's final game at Anfield AND now his final FA Cup match. And all after not really doing the right thing by stopping his final chance of winning the league in its tracks last year. YNWA (I assume that means You'll Never Win Again or something.)

Can i suggest you go full kit and sew a couple of strips together. You can even wear odd socks and shinpads to complete the look. If you club together with another you can halve the cost for this magical occasion :p

Nah they will pump it in over the tannoy system. We could however all agree to politely applaud Liverpool, in particular the much loved Stevie G, whenever they have the ball.

I'll be sure to log on & register with the Red and White Kop messageboard to ask what they thought of the ground, the view, the atmosphere, the welcome etc and plead with them to love us, just a little bit, and then report my findings on here.

If they win they'll love us. If they lose they'll slag us off. That's what usually happens.

Christmas came last month at the Amex for the half and half scarf sellers. I'm not going now Stevie G isn't there. I'd made him a banner from some A3 paper and everything :(

:(:( gutted for Stevie G. I really hope the decent thing is done on saturday and Liverpool are allowed a rightful path to the Quarters to let Stevie G keep his dream alive.

2 more sleeps!

Can't wait. Was due to fly to Vegas for a couple of nights before coming home via New York - all in cost £5k. But I would have to leave 5 minutes before full time in order to make the check in, so I cancelled and lost it all. But it'll be worth it!

The holiday company said they had expected an influx of calls doing the same, as they were aware of the match taking place at that time.

Hope he travels with the team and does a lap of honour before the game starts so we all can give him a round of applause

I think they will be rationed to one per person just to make sure there are enough to go round.

Thinking of flying over from Oz, so I can watch the mighty Liverpool while wearing my half and half scarf.

Hoping Stevie G does a lap of honour at HT.

Would be a dream come true.

Forget tin foil FA cups and clackers and cancelled trips, I was making a Steven Gerrard effegy out of papier-mâché so I could wave it around like a loon the moment he graced the pitch with his presence. Despite numerous attempts I couldn't quite get the hair right so I had to nip up to Liverpool and behead a scouser to get the authentic look for the hair exact (given they all seem to have the exact same Stevie G haircut up there it seemed the easiest way).

And now Gerrard isn't even playing.

That's a whole heap of newspaper, glue, red paint (over the top of a blue undercoat obviously) and a scousers life wasted. And the hair was spot on as well.

So disappointed.

Don't worry, just being a scouser is a wasted life.

I don't know what's keeping me awake more - utter grief that Stevie G is in the wars and not playing, or sheer excitement the thought of all the other Liverpool heroes honouring us with their presence.

We are very lucky to be able to host these mighty global superstars at our humble little ground. Let's show them exactly what classy fans we are and hope they love us back, even if it's just a little bit

I couldn't get hold of a half and half shirt as apparently they've all sold out or something, so I'm having to make do with supping Special Brew from my Cronx Brewery/Palace Beer Festival glass for that true Liverpool and Palace feeling.

I also threw some tasty morsels into my wheelie bin earlier which I might dip at half-time, try to bring out that bit of Liverpudlian that lurks within us all.

Settling for a dull London derby today. They've never won the Champions League though - that said they do have a nice stadium even if their fans are quiet. Wish RVP still played for them, he is my favourite.

That's ok, just change to Man U like I did.

Next year I'm thinking of swapping to City or Chelsea, whoever wins the league this season :lux:
