Real long shot on too fronts...I would love to make contact with anyone that was in the sainsburys end during the late eighties to mid nineties as that was when my late dad worked heaven and earth to get us up from somerset as season ticket holders (all 5 of us) to watch the mighty palace as season ticket holders. Kids being kids the cost of that season ticket and transport costs were lost on us so rather than watch football we would have a game under the stand with whatever constituted a ball for pretty much the entire game or until the parents realised their hard earnt cash was going on a crushed can of whites lemonade. Also I would love to get hold of a photo of me being mascot in i think the 89 game at home to blackburn which sadly along with all my 400+ programmes got pinched. I know there was a lad called lee who used to have a kick around and by coincidence was mascot at the same game. and also three brothers ben, lee and simon who were living at locks bottom at the time. Any help would be appreciated and obviously willing to pay for photo or programme. Oh and my mum added i like stamp collecting in the programme profile as a joke for my 18th birthday in years to come.....fantastic. Once again any help would be whole heartedly appreciated.

I frequented the Sainsburys end in the late 80's. What halcyon days they were ! Maybe we sat next to one another. That would be funny !

I was there every home game with at least one my lads in that era. Used to go down the front to the side of the goal and the lads were allowed to sit on the railings and watch the game all the way through. Feck all health and safety in those days!!

Possibly the worst looking terrace ever.
I stood on it from when it opened till it was seated. It was crap.

Wonder how many times it was full to capacity during its life? Not many times I would guess!

I know of a Ben Greenwood from the Locksbottom who had a number of Palace-supporting brothers (inc. Nick who you didn't mention) Vague recollections that the others were Lee and Simon.

Might be worth your while trying to contact Orp Pisshead on here, as the Greenwoods were all part of the Orpington Pissheads in the 90s (I had honorary membership bestowed upon me due to not being from Orpington but being very much a piss head.)
