Official website has a good read on the above with Damo and Paddy getting mentions. Clinton listed as number one. About time we had some more green talent coming through the youth team.

Michael Hughes number one.
Ray Houghton second.
Morrison third.

Lol at that list..........McCarthy and Delaney would never in a million years be ahead of either Hughes or Houghton.

Damo would be IMHO in terms of his Palace career.

Hughes was incredible during our promotion year and then again in the Prem.

Houghton was a class act who had we signed earlier in 94/95 we would have probably stayed up.

I thought that list was about judging the players in terms of ability. I don't think any Palace fan would suggest Delaney is in their league ability wise.

In terms of performances (maybe not technical ability) I would say he's right up there. He was one of the main performers, playing 37 times in a record breaking team that saw us survive in the Premier League for the first time ever. Not only that, but we just didn't survive, we finished 11th. He faced some of the best attacking players in the world during that season. That's not to say he didn't make mistakes in that season but every player did at some point.

Glad you included poor old Owen who turned out in the U21s victory today. Once saw him have a brilliant performance for the Irish U21s, thanks for his influence on our promotion and his premonition remark on Holloway.

Err, wasn't 'gnasher' Fullarton Scottish? To be fair, if he took offence to my excluding him, I wouldn't argue. ******* nut job.

Edit - He spent the first six years of his career with St Mirren before moving to French side SC Bastia in 1996. After a year with Les Blues, he moved to Crystal Palace, where he managed nearly eighty appearances in three years. Managed is the operative word. He replaced Gareth Davies in my mid-teen viewing most-likely-to-be-sent-off-for-*******-someone-right-up-eleven. Thank god they were never in the same team.

It depends how you look at it

Houghton - Most gifted, highest pedigree but he was a veteran when we got to us. great passer

Morrison Best goalscorer. His goals helped get us through the turbulent turn of the century

Hughes Midfield dynamo

I place McCarthy and Delaney quite close together both with many of the sam attributes and faults. McCarthy of course captained the team of 2010 and led by example

Phelan and Staunton, very handy loan signings

Great for us in his day.

I can remember a cryptic clue in the Evening News 'which London club has signed two international players from another London side, both of whom are rumoured to be alcoholics'
Did not take much to see it was Mulligan and Charlie Cooke. Both had some very good games for us and the 5-0 drubbing of Man U was the best ever match I have seen. Believe me the noise generated was better than anything you would hear today. Paddy also played for a Shamrock Rovers 11 against Brazil in Dublin that I saw (basically a United Ireland team). He would walk into most Palace teams over the years.

I agree he was awful, but how was he a judas and a thug?

Judas cos he went on loan to Ipswich and slated Palace, saying it was great to be at a proper football club and all this bollocks, whilst still having some of his, not insignificant, wages paid by us.

Thug cos of Jedinak's fractured cheekbone.

Cannot stand the ****.

Johnny Gavin goalscoring winger in the 60's, still revered by Norwich City who he played for prior to us. Special memory for me was walking back to Norwood Station with John and my Dad.

Wright, Bright, Johnson, Morrison, Freedman, Swindlehurst, Murray, Byrne, Simpson, Butterfield etc

Saw him score (his only goal?) at Old Trafford.
