If the boys in blue and white manage to secure one more point, then for the first time in their history they will have stayed 5 seasons continuously in one of the top two divisions in English football.

Marvellous stuff, I think a round of applause is called for. :p

Not quite there yet mind. But lets take a moment and consider this latest achievement by one of the country's leading clubs. How can we possibly compete?

Mind you, we should not be surprised they are getting all the plaudits. When you invest 200M in a stadium, training facilities and players, it is only to be expected you achieve this level of success.

A source close to Albion Chief Executive, Paul Barber said "This is a proud day for everyone associated with the club. The 200M has got us where we are today. We hope the chairman continues to throw more millions at us until we can achieve some success"

Gonna be very tricky next season after Dunk secures his move to Real Madrid. Teams like recent F.A. Cup winners, Wigan Athletic, may stick more than two past them with a weakened defence. Which makes no sense given that their lower crowds makes Wigan tinpot.

They might be having to rely on Millwall's incompetence to achieve this feat, however, with Watford at home and Middlesbrough away their remaining fixtures.

A Millwall win at Blackburn tonight could make things interesting.

5 years in Division 2, these really are the glory glory days on the south coast.
I wonder if the Football League will let them wear a special commemorative kit next season?

We all suspected Brighton were safe some time ago. Even so, it's important that, for their part, they end the season in terrible form, taking some morale sapping momentum into next season's Champions League/avoid League One (delete as applicable) campaign.

No, now that they have relocated miles away from their original home there is no point having an open top bus parade along the seafront, nobody will know who they are.

I understand though that they may join in with the next Peppa Pig event in Stanmer Park opposite the Amex.

Very much dependant on when the annual lady boy circus is this year.. Can't see the bus company laying on a special if everyone is going to be there running their eyes over next years back four.. Soft top mini may suffice anyway..

I don't think the bus companies in Brighton will touch them after not being able to fulfil their booking in 2013... Luckily a club from South London was able to step in ;)

I really do feel the Weed can kick in from here. Their current all time record for the number of successive seasons in the top two divisions combined is 10 (double figures!), from 1977/78 to 1986/87 inclusive. Halfway there...it's a tall order but who amongst us is willing to bet that they won't get somewhere close to matching that given the magnificent infrastructure they now have in place?? Massive club, phenomenal potential.

Footnote: Our equivalent record will now extend to a consecutive 40 seasons minimum. I will 'celebrate' my 43rd birthday next month and I honestly have no memory of Palace ever playing outside the top two divisions of English football.
