Some pretty cracking matches already.

Liam Broady on the first day was one hell of a comeback. Great to see Watson get through earlier today too. And is it just me, or is the women's game a lot more varied and exciting these days - convinced I was watching old school BJK serve and volley at times today. Could it be that skill and deftness actually replaces tree trunks this year?

Federer was regal as always. The man is so sinuous, it's just a joy to watch. Novak had a tough ride, but TBF Kohlschreiber is the kind of opponent you'd expect at the start of week 2, not the opening day. Rafa and Murray through after slight wobbles at times.

Murray for the men's for me. Fancy Kyrgios to get to the Semis. Think it might be too much for Serena this year, and it could be anyone once she's gone. Maybe Lisicki?

What a game by Dustin Brown!

He either absolutely spanked every shot or did a naughty drop shot. Also hit two first serves each time. Unreal stuff... He's 30, half German, half Jamaican and used to drive to tournaments in a camper van. Hair down to his arse and world number 102. Played about 90% of rallies at the net. Was a lot of fun to watch and hope he can repeat that performance!

Watched him last year beat Hewitt. What a character.

Loved his mind games with the balls always wanting the winning ball back and also keeping a ball in his pocket while Nadal was serving. That must have pissed him off and I'd have thought there would be a rule against it. I remember last year in one game he served 2 aces in a row and waited for the ball to come back to his end. After the 3rd ace Hewitt quickly asked the ball boy for it and waited till he was about to serve before giving it back to the ball boy. I'm surprised raffa didn't do the same.

Or even better you can look it like this, 5 tests totaling almost a month, that's 1/12 of a whole ******* year and it can end in a draw?! WTF? :S::S::S:

That third set was the best women's tennis I've seen in nearly a decade at Wimbledon.

Watson was astounding. I seriously doubt that Serena will be pushed that hard until the semis. Heather should be proud of herself. And she should have the belief to push on. On that performance, ironing out the few creases, she can be a top 5 player.

Maybe, just maybe, we have the next generation UK hope. Well ******* done Heather, the UK is so very proud of you.

My big beef every year with Wimbledon is Andrew Castle. Why can't the BBC get a proper commentator in that understands the art of commentary?

He is what he is: an ex player. The beautiful pictures and sounds of Wimbledon need to be supplemented with an audio of colour, drama and subtlety. Listen to the commentators on BBC radio - just in a different league.

I must admit I watched Ward at The Surbiton event last month and he went out so tamely, despite a couple of decent wins this tournament, I at no stage was excited he might win even when ahead twice (in sets). Federer has been unbelievable. Murray's playing well but this is Roger at his very best.

Sleeping Giant

Murray just can't get any easy points, certainly not enough on his own serve. Incredible guts from him to hang in like he is. He knows that the longer it goes then surely his extra youth must come into play, more running though I know he's done.

You'll never see Murray play so well and yet be losing.

Murray played so well yet can't get a sniff. Possibly Fed's best ever game on grass at this rate.

Only come on here because Murray's two sets down.

I'm not sure i've ever wanted Fed to win in his finals but after that I think he deserves to get the Wimbledon record (8 wins) so I hope he does it.

Roger was imperious. I felt sorry for Murray, anything less than a brilliant serve was smashed back past him.

Such a shame.

It really was just a perfect storm as far as Federer is concerned. I honestly don't think I've seen a guy play so well and be on the end of a 3 - 0 defeat. It was unanswerable.

Oddly, a defeat like this is probably one of the easier ones for Murray to bounce back from because the opponent was just having one of those days.

Davis cup and US Open for Murray to focus on next.

Murray is the Arsenal of tennis. Always up there but only wins the odd major trophy every now and then. And both as boring as f*ck.

the Murray/Djok final of 2013 was one of the most tedious finals I'd ever seen

Really want Feds to win today. Djok has the luck of the devil though, so will be no surprise to see Roger's serve not as spot on as it was against Murray.

they are f**king idiots the organizers there, the entire UK saw the forecast for rain yet they left the roof open, what's the point in having it

This delay is massive for Fed. Age difference meant that once Djok got a set there was no way I could see him losing gr8 though RF did hanging in to take the second. Now, very interesting.

Great tournament. It's a shame it's over, but looking forward to the Davis Cup next weekend.

Hingis has still got it. Saw her win the women's doubles live yesterday and the mixed on TV.

If you haven't already I recommend watching the mockumentary comedy 7 Days In Hell starring Andy Samburg (Brooklyn nine-nine) and a wealth of famous faces.

Brilliant.
