It's got to be a line-up from the start of the 2007/08 season.

This lot played a league game in January 2012 away at Blackpool. Freedman rested everyone for the LC semi on the following tuesday. On paper, I doubt we've sent out a weaker side than that since the first admin. We were actually 1-0 up with about five minutes left but lost 2-1. Staggering to think that was just three years ago!

Crystal Palace: Price, Wright, Parsons, McShane, Egan, Dumbuya, Garvan (Marrow 81), Cadogan, O'Keefe, Sekajja (De Silva 77), Andrew (Iversen 87)

Subs not used: Fitzsimons, Pedroza

The team wasn't that bad, but the manager was abject

But this line up from a 1-0 away loss to Norwich in the September of that season was ******* dire...

Crystal Palace: Speroni, Butterfield, Hudson, Cort, Craig, Soares, Fletcher, Green (Hughes 84), Scowcroft, Idrizaj (Freedman 61), Dickov (Morrison 70).
Subs Not Used: Flinders, Fonte.

Dorman was a poor player not exceptionally dreadful just mediocre in every aspect of what a midfielder should be doing, no pace, not a very good passer, nor tackler, rarely scored, wonder how he ever made the grade as a pro, kind of reminded me of a Glenn Pennyfather, who was far worse though

I can't believe Kebe has made less appearances in this thread than he did for the first team!

We gave up the League to reach a cup final, fair enough. But no excuse for playing like a bunch of tossers for the remaining 4 months of the season.

Because WHEN he played, he wasn't really that bad...

Probably. Martin gets slated quite a lot, but I didn't think he was bad. Counago rarely gets mentioned but was pretty shite if I am honest.

That day Freedman told the players that the league was over for the rest of the season. I was highly critical on here and think I even upset Steve Browett with my thoughts on what Freedman had done at the time.

What about David Martin. The worst wide player I've ever seen in a Palace shirt
Nick Carle. The most overrated player I've ever seen in a Palace shirt. He was dire.

I saw Jeff Hughes have a decent game last night... Not many Palace supporters can say that I doubt. :moo:

Freddie Sears is first name on my team sheet. If footballers had nicknames like boxers his would have been Freddie "fuc*ing" Sears.
Surprisingly he seems to be doing ok at Ipswich.

We didn't think so when we paid decent money to sign him from Southend.

I used to get him and Dave Martin muddled up through a drunken haze which was necessary to put up with the utter shite from those days typified by them.

Who on earth was Egan ?

John Egan. Defender we had on loan, I think, from Sunderland.

The next Scott Dann.

He was on loan from Sunderland. Not really sure why but I think he made two appearances for us. Now at Gillingham I believe.
