Meet a guy in Vancouver recently who claimed his dad played for Palace 40 years ago.

He was called Bob Beeson, anyone know anything about him?

Never heard of him. Did he say if he was in first team or reserves/youth side? Otherwise this could just be one of those classic bloke in a pub says he used to be a footballer stories.

Junior signed June 1972 or June 1973 (club quotes both), with CPFC to 1975 approx. Local lad from Dulwich.
Certainly played at Junior and reserve levels for CPFC.

Went to school( norbury Manor) with Malcolm Beeson. He was a few years older but I played in the same team as his brother McGregor Beeson. They lived on Norbury Crescent. Was on the verges of the first team but ended up at orient where I believe he played one first team match.

He lived up the road from me John, near St. Helen's.

He could've gone into athletics I think as he was by far the fastest boy at Norbury Manor.
