Anyone watching the first game? The young lad Edmund at world number 100 is 2 sets up against the Belgian ranked 16.

We could be a shoe in for world champions.

seemed like he put up a good fight. He looks like he could be good if he progresses like Murray did at that age. Has a good forehand.

Come on Andy!

Should be ours. I reckon Edmund would win the next game anyway.

I hope that trophy is super light for its size. It deserves to be picked up....... by two people

They managed to butcher the anthem - fair play to the boys for keeping a straight face :)

Is Andy Murray back to being 'British'? Well played to the team.

Brilliant last point, just brilliant.

Fair play to himI'm no tennis fan but cannot disagree with that.

Also, does anyone know why the team is called GB rather than UK (I know it's the same as the Olympics, but I don't understand that either)?

The first time since 1930 something... The fact that I had no idea we had ever won it and no idea who had won it inbetween(not registered ever). I think we can safely say barely anyone gives a monkeys.

Will probably be the biggest splash on most of the back pages tomorrow and some mention on the front of some I suppose - but I get where you're coming from :D

We don't win a lot of team sports as a nation so it's something to celebrate :lux:

Nothing new in that, many countries who've won it have been significantly led by one individual. Belgium themselves also had one superior player.

Fantastic achievement, and good that everyone who had played earlier rounds received awards eg Ward who won well v USA.
