A fine, fine, very graceful batsman.

I read recently that he knew he didn't have long to go, but 53 is far too young.

RIP:(

Always enjoyed watching Martin Crowe bat, the rest of the Kiwis, particularly his brother Jeff, not so much...

RIP to a fine wielder of the willow.

Desperately sad. He would have enjoyed watching the current Kiwis. Shame they couldn't win the World Cup for him.

Played cricket during the years I loved to watch it. Played the game sportingly and man, what a batsman he was. Won't forget him.

One of my childhood hero, and the one who actually inspired me to go and bat like him (though I failed miserably)

So sad, was always my number 3 when England played the rest of the world at pencil cricket in the back of my school books. RIP.

Terrible news. A year younger than me. One of the best Kiwi batsmen of all time, prolific and watchable. He and Richard Hadlee were the superstars of New Zealands best era. RIP Martin Crowe
