Chances of these two facing measures? Slim to none i'd say.

Boeteng and Muller hatrick would be nice.

Expecting a much closer game than most predicting - fancy a score draw. Ukraine are decent side, Germany not-so-hot in my book!

Are Germany playing against anyone? The BBC barely mentioned the opposition once in the entire build up.

Damn I really like the look of Ukraine. They are throwing everything at Germany. Loads of pace, some good skill on the ball and some fantastic crosses. Unlucky not to be level really.

No not actual words. They get the ball forward quickly. Then showed a long pass forward. Pass by Germany long ball by likes of northern Ireland

They pass forward if possible or knock the ball round otherwise. A long pass is a long pass. Don't care how pundits describe it. A punt forward is different. Lovely interchange passing at pace for the most part, counter attack and stretching at other times. Seems a good way of playing rather than just sideways.

This game is pretty much like England Russia, except that Germany have a much better defence, and Ukraine look better than Russia.

How is the Neuer challenge on the 11 not a penalty? Straight barge into him nowhere near the ball.

Wasn't the challenge by neuer a foul? Not a shoulder to shoulder challenge but barged in chest?

Is that the same Pierce who used to cheer for Palace and Wimbledon on Capital Radio ?
Now all he does is sing the praises of the favourites/big clubs.:hmph:
Guess he realised he would never get a good job unless he "played the game".

Why the Germans have to play these pointless group games is a disgrace. They’ve earned an ‘opt out’ until the second phase. Hopefully, our England failures on the panels can advise on how to beat them.

different league aren't they? technically so superior, prepared properly, dont seem to get out of second gear, compare their team to the mish mash of a team we have players playing out of postion, quailty players left at home, no pressure to pick "fashionable" players etc, could you imagine the clown of a manager we have going for an interview at the German FA for the national team coach position? they wouldn't be able to keep a straight face.

I have to turn the sound off when he is commentating, he used to go on all the time about what a Palace fan he was, then go mad celebrating any time anybody scored against us - he's a first class tosser, how he has lasted this long in the business, God only knows.

Technically so-so, superb passing, discipline and shape, good structure and thorough preparation, but they don't look on top form yet.
And yeah, not only our managers are primitives, our players just won't take that degree of preparation.

Actually he was favourite when Bertie Vogts left. But Franz Beckenbauer himself intervened, claiming that Germany would need a German manager and so they got Ribbeck then.

we got into similar positions in the first half against Russia but we were just not good enough to create the goal. There was a very simple Ali pass to Kane that highlighted this. Played correctly and Kane was in...he over-hit it.

England can compete if they brush up on their decision making and final ball.

Managers at this summer's European Championship will be reluctant to shake Joachim Low's hand after seeing the Germany manager touch his private parts during his side's win against Ukraine. Low may lose some of his admirers after he was pictured readjusting his trousers during the world champions' 2-0 win in Lille. The 56-year-old also appeared to touch his derriere before smelling his fingers while stood on the touchline at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

As long as he keeps being successful, nobody should give a crap.
I've seen footballers do worse (taking a leak at the ad boards, eg).
Actually, I do not find this very exciting.
When he doesn't care that there a dozens of cameras around him, why should we ?
