Too many individuals in this Belgium team for me. Remind me of Englands golden generation. Amazed Fellani is ahead of Dembele, seem to be lacking an engine in the midfield. Poor goal to concede but Italy don't look great. Belgium lined up terribly though.

I really do think those challenges deserve a red as it deliberately stops a dangerous attack. Or introduce a different card that counts a one and a half yellows so the next foul regardless you're off. I don't know but anything as I'm sick of seeing good attacks deliberately stopped.

Well you don't have to worry too much about it at Selhurst because we don't do it. Opposition do. Unfortunately if we had little bit of the Italian cynicism in our game especially cup final we may well have won cup.

Motta was only on the pitch a couple of minutes when he got his one. Tactically they got it spot on, it was more like a knockout stage match than a group one. The Italians looked and played like a team, whereas Belgium didn't. Whats your opinion of Origi? I thought he started brightly then got rapidly worse, getting too much on his first header then nothing on his second one.

Origi wasn't on the pitch long enough for me to give an honest opinion. I wanted him to start over Lukaku though. Dembele should have played to give the midfield more composure instead of Fellaini who is just arms and a nuisance. De Bruyne had a mare and should have been subbed but because of his name he wasn't. Vertonghen and Courtois impressed me the most on the Belgium team. The match was very reminiscent of their World Cup campaign. Need to figure out how to break teams down. Ah well...still in the competition I guess.

Not sure why everyone had Belgium down as some kind of superteam. Ok Hazard can be world class, but some of the others are just overrated expensive premier league players. If you were an international defense, would you be quaking in your boots at having to face Lukaku, de bruyne and fellani? Ffs. Just because man city and united paid loads doesn't mean they are world class.

I'm half Italian and have followed them since I was a kid (when ENG didn't qualify). I too wasn't expecting much and still think there's stronger teams out there but it just shows what a coach can bring.

If Conte coached Belgium they'd be amongst the favourites with genuine reason.

Don't know why Belgium didn't try any balls over the top for De Bruyne and Hazard.
