Ugh, Wayne should be saving that. Although equal blame goes to Ramsey for making no attempt to close the shooter down.

*edit* Having watched it again, it's a tough one for Henno at that pace. But still think he could have got more on it.

Well I do. Good strike but move his feet better and he would have had the extra couple of feet to at least get a hand or two on it.

Strange he went two handed too. Given the height of the ball he would have been better to go with his left hand for the further reach.

Just wondering - why is Coleman seemingly unpopular among Palace fans? I always thought he was a fantastic player, and not bad as a manager. Now his stock as a manager is at an all-time high. But for some reason he seems to get slagged off a lot by Palace fans - what has he done wrong?I would take him instead of AP.

Not unpopular with me, but maybe to do with the way he left. We were relegated, he had impressed the previous season and wanted to stay in the Premier League. It felt like he was phoning it in a bit at the beginning of the next season to encourage the club to let him go. That was my remembering of it anyway.

That hasn't hurt Ledley and Williams in the eyes of Palace fans. There seems to be something else with Coleman. Has he done wrong by us somewhere, e.g. his transfer out? Or some whinging, criticising of Palace?

Saving it maybe harsh but he had a better chance if he took an extra step. And don't say it was impossible... He gets paid God knows how much per week to train and work on stuff like his footwork.

He was a shocking manager actually. The only success he's had is with Wales...and would say that's more of a product of what Speed did than him.
He guided Fulham to 9th in the Premier League in his first season in charge, which was a surprise finish as they were expected to struggle. The next season they did struggle after most of their best players were sold, although he kept them clear of relegation. So decent overall I'd say.

Next he took over Real Sociedad when they were in the Spanish second division, and left during his first season due to disagreements with the new incoming manager, but he was doing reasonably well there. They were fifth at the time of his departure and hadn't lost in nine games. Considering the language barrier and difference in culture, I'd say that's also a decent enough job. I'm not confident either Moyes or Neville would have bettered it.

His time at Coventry was poor, and he ended up getting sacked after finishing 18th or so I think. However that club has had well documented problems for a awhile, so that may have been a factor.

And it's absurd to suggest he doesn't deserve a lion's share of the credit for where Wales are now. He easily guided them through qualifying, winning the group. Won the the group in the first round of the Euros. And has them in a position where there's a real possibility of them reaching a semifinal. This has never been done in Wales' history. He's done a great job.
