The game Hodgson's heroes should have played.

I was down Hayes way last week and saw an Icelandic restaurant near the station. Business must be booming. Come on boys, do it for Hayes.

One of the best places in Hayes High Street. If I go in on a Saturday they quite often ask me about Palace.

More seriously here is tonight's teams:

No Cabaye for France, he was expected to start as Kante is suspended, he has gone for Sissoko and Matuidi will play the holding role. Going to sound crazy but I think that's a huge mistake and Iceland will win this game 2-1.

There is a chance of Iceland winning and also 9 of the starting 11 missing the final if they get carded.

Should be a good one I suppose

The good news is that if that happens, Cabaye will probably get on as sub :p

How many match tickets did Iceland get?
The stade de France's capacity is 81,000.
Ireland only got 5,000 when they played France in Lyon, capacity 59,000

I dont think its that Iceland are bad, France are playing like they did in 1998, they are pulling Iceland all over the pitch, changing angles constantly. Its a joy to watch.

it reminded me of a mixture of the Dutch "total football" of the 1970's and the Brazil team of the 1980's; Zico/Socrates/Falcao, interspersed with the "tikki takki" style of Barcelona circa 2012, except Rooney and Walker were the orchestraters of it and better

Not a very birdlike shape on display from Iceland tonight, but Frances tempo and movement was very good to watch. Even more so as I got a 5 pound free bet with every goal that they scored. Should be 2 very interesting semis now.

Iceland showed tonight what they are - a very average team Agree with your criticism of England, however they still managed to put two goals past France tonight and never lost their composure. They and their fans gave been an absolute pleasure to watch.

Who knew that France, having scraped through nearly all their games and arguably had a little help from the refs along the way, would suddenly burst through and find some scoring form in the latter stages (albeit against a team of lowly division players).

It was the fawning bias of the ITV pundits that got on my tits. Everything France did was brilliant and amazing, yet when Iceland tested France then the keeper was poorly sighted etc. etc.

Ah well... I have France in my family sweepstake so all's not bad. Apart from the fact that I'll just win my own money back anyway :D
