Also, does anyone know the pub situation near Middlesbrough station?

Middlesborough is an absolute sh*thole so a few cans of special brew down a dark alley is probably the best place to drink

Pubs are crap up there. I'm going to this one as I've got someone I know who lives in Yarm. Last time I saw us up there we lost 2-1 with Easter getting a pen. I think bolasie made his debut that day along with Moritz. How things have changed ahead of this visit.

Yep. Went to that game and for the first time in a long time thought we were at the start of something good .... Turned out OK, too :)

We're staying in Yarm too. Any pub recommendations for the evening? We will have kids with us, so will need to be child - friendly.

I'd go to Newcastle tbh. Now I know that has fantastic nightlife! Just don't mention Alan Pardew!

Nothing in Boro I would suggest move on to Newcastle, York or Durham.

Any ideas for a decent pub? Train gets in at half 1, so would quite like to watch second half of the Manc derby before walking to the ground... Or will they be showing that in the ground?

Spoke to a Boro sth today. Suggested I might be better having a quiet beer in the ground rather than in Boro itself. Rough seemed to be his general discription of most boozers near the ground

We always drink there good beer away fan friendly normally have a football quiz on with pints as prizes and they throw the odd question in for the away fans . Terry of the Red n Blue army web page in there one year wining pints faster than he could drink them.
A few NE exiles meeting up in there Saturday..

We were in Yarm too and enjoyed it. Will definitely stay there again for Boro away games. Got cabs to and from the ground for 12 each way, which was top value.
