Even if it is for a bit of PR by Virgin Media, good news for us "customers".

They are also subsiding some stuff for Saints fans aswell

Nice and they did give decent prices for the last 2 cup games so fair play

I don't know if I can deal with their repetitive drone of "when the saints go marching on" anymore!

For personal reasons I so needed this one to be a weekend fixture instead of a ******* Wednesday night! :grrr:

Meanwhile Palace have faced some criticism for INCREASING the price of kids tickets in the away section!

However, despite grabbing their share of an 8bn+ media deal we’ve already seen the odd club deliberately push up kids and OAP prices for visiting fans – take a bow Crystal Palace!
So what was Palace’s reasoning?
We’d love to be able to tell you but despite contacting the club’s Supporter Liaison Officer on 14th July and sending half-a-dozen emails since then we’ve still had no explanation or reply, other than a vague “we’ll get back to you”. They didn’t.

PR at the club needs a serious look at.

Sharon Lacey is already well known on this board for not replying to emails promptly* on the loyalty points issue.

We got a new head of PR, Joanne Budd (prev O'Donnell) from the FA.

On face value it looks like away adult tickets dropped from 32 to 30 (because they had to), so they just put up the price of concessions. Ignoring the accusation doesn't make it go away sadly.

That said, Palace is a bit like the Marie Celeste in June/July as everyone takes their hols at the same time

She never responded to an email I sent regarding loyalty points.

Hence I guess the new PR (assume she hasn't started yet, unless the 'state of the art' communications are her work )

Anyhow, back on topic, shame that it isn't Palace who will have Virgin on their shirts again.

Good for them. 20's plenty with this new TV deal (assuming it doesn't all just go straight into the pockets of players, agents and the taxman).

Good to see, but shame it wasn't a less popular game hay was cheaper as we would always sell out at St Mary's, 20 or not.

We haven't sold out the League game there the last two seasons.

Admittedly in 14/15 the League game was midweek, and was relatively soon after the 12 cup game

In 15/16 it was over 40 and a week before the Final with players rested
