The standard seems to deteriorate year on year. When clubs such as Brighton,Barnsley and Brentford occupy places in the top half surely something is wrong.Luckily sky rarely show these games as it would be an embarrassment to lower league football.

Spot on fella, thought Burnley were awful last season. As for Brighton ha ha 89 points loose 5 and still don't go up priceless joy.

If Brighton did go up they'd have no money anyway and their season ticket holders would all be in half and half scarves. It would be like a home game for Liverpool. They'd go down anyway. Might as well let Villa and the Geordies go up automatically.

Any division with Brighton in it and us not in it is a very weak division

Warren Aspinall on BBC Sussex Sport yesterday argued that the Championship was weak
"This league is weaker than last season"

I think the fact that Brighton got as many as 89 points is a sad indictment of the league.

If a shit club like Brighton are currently sitting in third place with their shit team, shit fans and shit out of town stadium then it's clearly a shit championship.

This is an obvious piss take of the 'weak premiership ' thread on nsc ! Even by their deluded standards that one takes some beating !! They're actually slagging off clubs like West Brom , Watford , stoke and us obviously !!
I reckon they think the whole world is waiting for clubs like themselves to replace these sort of teams They particularly take the piss out of tonight's game , between 2 clubs who have been up and relegated , then promoted again , whilst they keep chocking ... a truly special thread that one ......

Norwich & Newcastle not good enough for the Premier League last season but will prove too good for the championship this season.

Perhaps you can give the weak premiership thread a mark on there?Or are you as simple as the bloke that posted it ?

Yet again the world conspires against Brighton, this time making the league above them (which they so painfully grasp at to participate in) so weak and full of tin pot clubs that they would dominate, whilst simultaneously making the league they're trying to escape from full of teams they're unable to beat when it matters.

The strangest mystery is why these clubs are so omnipotently powerful when playing Brighton in the Championship, yet such a joke when they're promoted.

Investigation.

The NSC really is a quality read:

There are a lot of average sides this year, including Palace. For once I'm relatively confident of staying up.

If Albion could ever manage to negotiate the play offs I think they'd survive comfortably in the PL.

I'm not sure that would sell their away allocations should they go up.....
For a club that didn't sell out a playoff semi against Sheffield Wednesday last year doubt they would even sell out at selhurst if it was on a Friday ..

There's been a lot of focus on numbers. Sure, there were lots of them at Fulham on that fateful day, but that's not what that historical even will be remembered for.

Accordingly, I ask this question: regardless of how many went, were songs successfully sung? WERE SONGS SUCCESSFULLY SUNG?

"I was one of those newbies who tagged onto the Albion when we moved into the Amex, a decision I'm so pleased I made because I've become somewhat addicted now to the point of joining the masses travelling away.

So far I've not missed a game and have been amazed not only at the numbers but the fantastic enthusiasm and committment of those travelling away. The vocal support is amazing and everywhere we've been we have easily outsung the home crowd, even at St James Park where the local were looking up in envy at our masses singing away in the 88th minute like they had been in the 1st.

CH commented on the quality of the away support and how much it means to the players, long may it continue, off to get my Wigan ticket now

Anybody help with ther words ro AK's song, I really struggle with it, maybe because I'm a bit deaf"

This one is for vha,
"In my view probably the most passionate, loudest, and most unexpected Albion support was at Fulham just after Christmas in 2014. We were deep in relegation do-do, Hyypia had just left the building, Nathan Jones was left holding the reins. It was as if someone had flicked the switch and there was this unbelievable bond between the team and the fans.

Ring of Fire will never be so good again after that night! "

It would be much fairer all round if they did. The owners of the clubs could just lend their personal cash to their clubs and not make them pay it back. It's a great system and most importantly it satisfies FFP.
