What are the chances of this fixture being changed?

As far as I can workout if ourselves or Bournemouth get to the FA Cup 4th
round and either of the fixtures get moved to the Sunday then the game would get pushed back to Wednesday 1st February?

Could a 4th round cup tie get moved to Monday 30th and take precedence
over a PL fixture? If so when would the PL fixture be moved to? Pushed back to Thursday 2nd and the home game against Sunderland pushed back to Sunday 5th February?

I'm trying to take all possibilities in to consideration whilst booking up a 'Palace Tour' for some of our American supporters that I met on July's tour.

Any thoughts more than welcome.

Thanks

Do bear in mind that tickets for Bournemouth away will be much harder to get than your average Palace away game as the away end only holds circa 1200. Okay it is midweek and also we played there last season which should reduce demand a little, however the away end WILL sell out, probably to people on 2000+ loyalty points, so some Americans you met in the Summer may be unlikely to qualify for a ticket in the away end through the loyalty points scheme.

Bournemouth is the hardest away game to get tickets for.
You may need 2500+ each
My advice would be choose another game.

I think they are sorted ticket wise, this is more about booking travel and accommodation.

Do they have a Monday night game on FA Cup weekends? What would be the consequence of that if it involves us or Bournemouth?

Do they have a Monday night game on FA Cup weekends? What would be the consequence of that if it involves us or Bournemouth? They do sometimes have Monday night FA Cup games but on this occasion they probably won't because of the midweek Premier League games. The FA Cup games will probably be Fri/Sat/Sun.

As you've said, the Bournemouth game would probably be moved to the Wednesday if either Bournemouth or Palace have a cup game on the Sunday. In theory the Bournemouth game could also be moved to the Wednesday for BT Sport TV coverage but there's virtually no chance of the game being picked for that.

I think it's fairly safe to assume that the game will be on the Tuesday or Wednesday but you can never be absolutely certain.

They've already picked the live TV games for that midweek and unsurprisingly we weren't one of them...

Not that I know of and pretty sure they're not Harris and/or Blitzer either!!
They are confident of getting tickets though.

They are coming over for 10 days, hoping to get an FA Cup 4th round match, then the Bournemouth and Sunderland games. The theory being that they had a good chance of seeing Palace win, rather than coming over for Man Utd and Chelsea for instance. The theory wasn't looking good in practice but might now pay-off.

perhaps they have bought a load of expensive tat in the club shop to earn those "loyalty!" points,or maybe their confidence is misplaced and they will be more disappointed than most of us who know we have no chance and accepted that fact the day bournemouth got promoted! I turned down one in home end as i dont enjoy sitting quietly, last year was enough!

Great fans  Can only their think they must be going corporate in the home end bought from Bournemouth? Personally think that nobody should be getting tickets out of the smallest Palace allocation of the whole season if they haven't put in the effort previously supporting the club over 100+ games via multiple years of tickets and/or dozens of previous away games.

Surely the fact they're turning up to watch versus lower calibre teams makes them 'great' fans rather than those who just turn up due to the opposition?

I would fit your criteria but in the last 10 years having only done a max of about 12 a season and premier league years prob only 3 or 4 a season i certainly wouldn't expect to have a chance at an away ticket for this.

Yep, and a midweek away match is a no for most of us with kids. And the majority of the 'seniors' that I know with Season Tickets don't travel far late night midweek either.

Take all those people out the equation from the ST list and the allocation of tickets has gone much further down the pecking order of points than last year.
