Yep. Demand the money now, don't give the points for 4 months and then don't bother to send out the new cards. Standard.

No they are not. Last years points were definitely added in July (check your history) although bought months earlier so didn't help with FA cup semi and final.

No to things like this!!!

can anyone tell me seriously among the usual banter whether the upper tier for away fans is a) very high and/or b) very steep as I really dont like heights and being up high (even upper holmesdale levels) makes me feel uncomfortable

Stamford Bridge is pretty small in comparison to most of the 'big' teams' stadiums. Even the seats at the back have a decent view.

It's certainly not steep compared to the likes of Newcastle and Sunderland.

I hope they will have a block of each tier on sale. Will be my first time (because of the price cap) and planning to go in the upper. I assume that's where the HF will be.

What is this defeatist attitude about?

The section is there so those who want to create an atmosphere together can push the players on. I wish we could have it for every game, perhaps it will if this is a successes.
Let's not pretend that there isn't the appetite there for it with the different groups at Selhurst and even away games. We are at our best when we are together.

18 rows in the Upper I think. SU1 on row 16 so guess both blocks close to selling out. Not sure why they have put the people with the most points in SU1 in the corner though when SU4 is in the middle of the stand. So having committed to taking all the tickets why did the Club not simply put all blocks on sale at the same time so those with the most points could sit in the more central seats and not near the corner.

The club obviously have to be careful with how they word it as they can't say "standing section" but I think most sane people will view this as a positive move to get everyone whos up for the crack together without worrying about spoiling the day out for people who want to sit down, or for families etc. The 'singing section' worked great at the final. There's always the lower tier for grumpy gits like you :p

Lol. In our first season back up the Chelsea game sold out in a day!

All clubs get that first Prem season bounce, when fans are curious to visit grounds they haven't been to for years, if ever.

And if there's any possibility that your club might go straight back down, you visit as many of those grounds as you can during that first Prem season. Just in case there are another 10 years before you get another chance.

We'd been to Chelsea numerous times, but first season back up in the Prem was the first chance for our son to visit, and he'd listed it as the away match he most wanted to go to. Ofcourse, he enjoyed our win there a couple of years ago even more!

True.

If they have indeed held back a block for now, there's got to be a chance that they won't all be used.

Comps smacks to me of the club selling tickets to partner ticketing agencies for them to sell to tourists and corporates. Or maybe slightly less contentiously to club sponsors or advertisers. I hope this isn't the case because it would send a very bad signal that the old fan relationship from the early days of 2010 has completely ended. If that is correct the club would just be a business focussed on profit maximisation. Perhaps a director or one of his senior staff direct reports could provide clarification?

The club is a business maximising profit and putting fans second. That's fine. Most clubs are like this.

It amuses though me how people on here don't seem to get that and still cling on to the idea that the owners are our mates and care about the fans.

Away season tickets were processed the day before the first day of sales, so maybe the reason people haven't seen much of a particular block is that those were already allocated (plus of course the players allocation)? Fairly standard.

Wins at top tier Leeds in 4th round and 2nd tier champs Sunderland in 6th round were more impressive than the 5th round win at 2nd tier mid table Chelsea. And we had the crushing disappointment of semi final defeat v Southampton at Stamford Bridge that same season.

Collected tickets season before last at the ticket office which is at the Shed end (away end) and was fairly painless apart from queing with the Chelsea! Collection issue is always that tickets that missed the four day posting deadline turned up on the Palace coaches so you couldn't pick them up early so probably wise to get CPFC to send a duplicate request early on?

Collection issue is always that tickets that missed the four day posting deadline turned up on the Palace coaches so you couldn't pick them up early so probably wise to get CPFC to send a duplicate request early on?

Cheers :p

Our tickets shouldn't have missed a deadline. We ordered them on day three.

I've asked if they can post some duplicates but haven't heard back yet. Last time (Spurs away in the cup) they refused to send replacements and insisted I had to pick them up even though there was still a week 'til the game.

I've never really had any issues with the box office but this is the second time it's happened in the past 12 months. Annoying.

If Chelsea print the Tickets then it's unlikely for CPFC to issue any more physical tickets. The usual thing at this stage would be that Palace send a list of duplicate requests to Chelsea and they print them out at Chelsea and keep them in the 'Away tickets for collection' box in their booking office.

If you booked online take a print of the receipt or booking if its got the seat numbers on them as twice (West Brom and Sunderland) in the past the duplicate request has got lost and at both the box offices managed to reprint the ticket based on the CPFC receipt seat number.

Yep, I'll be taking my receipt along and joining the queue again. Can't wait.

Collected tickets season before last at the ticket office which is at the Shed end (away end) and was fairly painless apart from queing with the Chelsea! im not able to get to the ground until gone 2, is there normally a big queue?

Seems odds home and away fans have to collect from the same location?

Just noticed there's no block number on the tickets, is that right?

Just had a reply from the box office claiming the second batch of tickets was sent out on 23rd March and 'should be with you by today'.

Errr...
